I've personally never been able to play Crash using the analog stick. Crash 3 is the first one to officially support it (although I believe Crash 2 works too, but not the version that's on PSN, which is what I've last played) and really the only worthwhile feature for movement is Crash's little stroll animation if you only push the stick in a little bit. The games to me definitely feel like they were designed with the d-pad in mind first and foremost. Dunno how this works out for the remake, but even CTR feels like it's really intended to be played with the d-pad.
does anyone have any experience with how well the game runs on a gtx970 at 1440p
They still haven't fixed the pill hitbox after an entire year of people saying how it's fucking terrible and makes Crash 1 a chore. Ugh.
Great stuff! there is one reason I will be picking this up... and thats to beat my damn step sister at the time trial for toad village on crash 3. What started as a friendly race on that level has gotten out of hand to the point where she is within 5 seconds of the world record ( I haven't been able to get a sub 30 second time). Shes damn good at the hobs spin exploit and maybe this will give me the edge I need.
I get 80-90fps on average at 1440p on max settings. I'm on a GTX 980 but hopefully it helps still as a reference.
For those with ultrawide monitors I found this and it works great http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=32703
