I've seen that Todd Howard pic so many times that the face doesn't even look real to me anymore.
I swear that they did this to make people go "OH SHIT FALLOUT 3 ANNIVERSARY" for a second considering the whole party theme of the announce stream which was around the anniversary of FO3, but then take a twist into "Oh it's not actually Inkspots" for the new game reveal.
No, no they didn't.
The Inkspots have been pretty heavily associated with the Fallout series since the beginning. I kinda wish they'd kept the style for the full song instead of just the little intro
They're selling the song on iTunes for 0.99$ on iTunes, proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity charity
It's the #1 single right now
Godspeed Bethesda
Yeah, I was originally going to just rip it but then saw that the sales are for charity, one which I've volunteered with four or five times now, and decided against it. It's honestly a lot of fun.
Glad to see some meaningful music with some real talent behind it (albeit a cover, and a damn good one at that) at the top.
... I have no idea what any of those other songs are...
back in the time when most of the fallout music came from most songs were covers. you'd have someone who wrote the music and they usually worked with a lyricist, then they'd get a singer to record it.
in fact a lot of the songs in fallout have many different popular versions all from that time period. bethesda did a good job at choosing the superior versions for the most case.
It wasn't until the 1960s that it really became popular to write your own songs. Before that most songs were written by professional song writers (Brill Building/Tin Pan Alley) and then sold to recording artists, or taken from the musicals of the time.
