FP Droid mostly works perfectly for me. Only recurring issue is scrolling upwards on notifications ending up reloading the page and that's avoidable.
That has since been fixed. I'm posting from the app RN.
The issue comes back for a day or so every couple of weeks. It was messed up this morning and is better now.
I just request desktop website on chrome mobile and never had issues since.
OKay, fellas. I've no idea where else to ask this so, here goes: At what level do you obtain the ability to apply larger backdrop photos to your account? I know it has nothing to do with Gold, as users who don't have Gold have their own backdrop. Please fellas I'm desperate.
(What i mean by "backdrop" is the lengthier photo displayed behind your profile picture)

I didn't know that the background was limited by level.
It should just be an option in your coin menu. The "Change background" option.
Well I mean that's an easy fix with a toggle.

Click on your coin count at the top of the page for the coin store, there you will have the ability to set your background image for 20 G-coins
A lot of Facepunch users are very quick to wail on others via zingers and general condescension, and I'd really like if we could work away from that.

Not the same as mine? He's digging in his feet and being outright rude when people are largely proving him wrong and being civil towards him. I called someone on a shitpost that was completely unnecessary in the thread. Two totally different concepts.
Obviously it was necessary since people still believe that bullshit? If you think I made that post to boost my ego (???) then you're massively mistaken. The entire point of my post was to call that shit out immediately because if those people get called on their bullshit immediately then they're rather likely to abandon the thread altogether rather than continuing to shit it up. Believe it or not people get tired of reading the same easily disproven bullshit constantly spewed by the same users and would like it to actually stop.

We're not banning people for spurious reports anymore. Report posts that you'd like a moderator to take a look at.

Alright, that's good to know. For a basic guideline on the sorts of posts I should be reporting, would something like the example I gave in the post Clovis is criticizing of Cyke Lon Bee immediately resorting to calling people who disagree with him children count as flaming/shitposting? Under the old ruleset it was a kinda borderline case so that'd help clarify things for me a fair bit. From what I recall it wouldn't count as flaming under most circumstances but the sustained arguing that way he's resorting to recently would count as flaming, shitposting, or threadshitting depending on the moderator dealing with it.
It doesn't convince them to quit being stupid, no. It frequently does drive them out of the thread though which prevents them from shitting it up any more than that. And if it doesn't then a lot of people have learned to not engage afterwards which means there's not much for them to actually continue with.
There seriously needs to be some actual mod intervention in PD and SH right now. Geel and Cyke Lon Bee (hahaha its a funny nazi joke ::~~) ) in particular are just shitting up absolutely every fucking thread they enter. Cyke in particular is just constantly derailing shit into "lol us bettur than u" shit and I swear reporting his shit hasn't done anything so far (at least I recall reporting some of it).
An active moderator who takes active actions in those section is borderline a necessity because people don't report enough.
SH and PD are just steaming shit piles of circle jerks. I mean, they always have been, but since the new rule changes. it's x1000 now.
tbh the most annoying thing I've noticed about Cyke Lon Bee is that he always uses "dood" instead of "dude" and that bothers me more than literally anything he's ever posted
although I don't tend to actually read his posts in-depth so that's probably why lol.

is this thread really what you want out of facepunch? if bans are no longer warnings, can you at least start giving proper warnings instead, and try to mediate discussion a bit? if you look at this shit and think "yes, my job as community moderator is clearly to let the idiots off scot-free and tell everyone else to shut the fuck up" maybe you're a bit out of touch
I guess the idea of SH/Polidicks is to drop your news story of choice then never reply to any of the arguments made about it, running from thread to thread talking past everyone to push your particular political agenda.
Don't bother challenging someones claims using citations and delivering that challenge with a moderate tone because that makes you just as bad as the "idiots" we are told not to reply to.
