Yes, because the set-up was perfect. You couldn't repeat the same joke today and now people only really find the repost of the screencap funny. Also, if you consider people boxing you in LMAO pics for unfunny jokes and telling you to stop posting them as "shunning" then you care waaaaay too much about what people on an Internet forum think of you.
Shooting yourself in the foot. ✅ Bringing up your old history and being self-aware, but then not doing anything about it. ✅ Getting flamed at.✅ Get sensible responses such as stop but then spit the dummy and rate people bad reading.✅ Just ASIC things.
Obviously the set up of the joke matters. Are you guys saying "You" as in person I am talking to. Or "You" as referring to anyone in general? (see dictionary if you are confused: https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/you)
Can a moderator move this to SH? Oops
If it's flaming to call someone a 'goober', that's news to me. I do it all the time. I call my two year old niece a goober. Now if I called him a shit-eating idiot dumbass moron mother fucker, then yeah I'd say that's probably flaming.
It looks like it is the latter. He must have reported a different post with the reason "fuckin retard", and was just banned on his most recent post.
This is one smartass post you're making, unless you legit are getting confused over this And whether or not you're the one being discussed about matters nothing to the overall message
Goober is basically a synonym of idiot. Calling a person an idiot is flaming.
you are the goobiest goober in goobtown
Because it's a repost of a screencap? What else could it be? Both, I guess.
I already explained this in the post you quoted: It matters in regards to what I have to explain to them
lmfao okay
You are butchering the English language.

Tbh, I have no problem with the current mod team cuz I like all of them! But I'm not even sure they're all on the same page anymore lol. This new rule system has really only served to confuse them too, at least it did for me before I left. Which was why I wasn't banning, really. I did like maybe one or two.
Someone in this thread called someone else a dumbass, and they weren't banned (although AFAIK the other person was not in this thread at that time). It's unclear what the deal with the flaming rules is.
Talking down to everyone is not bannable but calling said person out on their bullshit is. Boy, oh boy, do I love rule enforcement that make sense.
yes yes dig your hole deeper
This post was a joke It is like how I made the joke earlier about the smartness system.
In fact, it's the only language I know !
The way you wrote it made it look serious. Joke sucked.
I agree. The mods are doing what they can with both precendent and a vague as fuck/subjective rule set. the rules are garbage and frankly we need the majority of the old list back. I’m ok with getting rid of some of the old rules like “no memeshit”, but we need clear rules on things like flaming. It holds users accountable and gives the moderators a clear guideline to follow. Having a clear rule set is a win-win for everyone.
Based dog mod.
really still dont understand what was wrong with the old rules. i have no clue fucking whats bannable at all anymore
The only issue with the old rules, was certain specific ban reasons, like putting 'reee' in your post or other meme things like itt /inb4. Which led to people being banned by mods in certain 'gotcha' moments.
Why are the mods not just falling back on the old rules. Since Gazza removed rules there are also no rules for mods. They are free to act as they feel. Could some mod please feel like banning derailing idiots?
The more I go on this forum the less I like the people here lmao
I'm sure the feeling is mutual.
Late '16 and just before this mess, it was clear to everyone on the mod team some rules were just not fitting in anymore with current ~internet climate~. We worked on just reducing actively banning them and/or reclassifying some of them into more sensible broader terms instead of making out specific ban reasons. We for the most part had already shifted from BAN EVERYTHING!!! to being Fast Threads cozy before garry. Flaming/Trolling/Derailing: No exceptions -> current: oh....wtf? Shitposting (all forms) No exceptions...well ok only when it is funny/tasteful/deserved -> Ban if it's just obnoxious -> current: oh...huh? For Memes: (no exceptions) "inb4" meme reply - > Meme reply -> Shitpost -> (Only if they're being obnoxious, or nothing else is in the post) Shitpost -> current: i guess we don't ban for that anymore.. Because of reducing the rules globally we had to constantly go back and forth with cross-subforum rules and make sure nothing was confusing. Pretty much taking these changes as problems came in slow as a turtle. In our minds, telling the forum a rule is no longer a thing one day is just too jarring and knew bad actors would take advantage of it, and yeah make a mess. Flaming/Trolling/Derailing/Shitposting is the basics of a orderly forum no matter what, those should come back.
The new ruleset doesn't work, plain and simple.
