Wonder how this would have gone down if the owner had a shotgun.
Yeah, that bit about people not going down so fast certainly seems to be true with perps that are high on powerful substances or wielding body armor of some sort. Totally justified as well IMO when lives are at risk. It's just interesting when you take the history of it into account. Going back few decades when cops wouldn't have as much ammunition avalible due to lack of self-loading weapons, priority seemed to be on accuracy and making those hits land on target. Today the emphasis seems to be on fire superiority, which is not a bad by default. It even makes sense. I just wonder if it's becoming too typical, even in situations that clearly don't warrant it. That reload under pressure and those clean shots after taking his hands off the wheel gave me a cold sweat. I'm impressed.
