They added a quest line in the last big update.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Sony pressured him into lying too.
I can't wait until they cut 90% of the content that we're seeing in this trailer
I do commend them for continuing to work on it and add features, but have they fixed the god awful inventory system(s)? I'm not just talking about raw storage space, but the multiple kinds of inventory with different stacks and limits and you have to transfer this one to that one to get to that one and OH MY GOD THIS GAME.
they did add stacking to some items that weren't stackable in post-release updates. Side note, the new trailer is throw back to a pre-release trailer, has the same beats and cutaway points.
I'm both a little surprised and not that people are still so bitter about this game. I definitely was upset with Sean during release time, because I knew there was a good chance that he was lying, or at the very least stretching the truth when in interviews he would make a lot of crazy promises and claims, and sure as shit it was a major fuckup of a release. It really sucked because even though I was very dubious about the game, I was hoping he was telling the truth. Fortunately I didn't buy it then, but after seeing how they're still working on the game two years after release with free updates, then shit, why not buy the game for $24 next time it goes on sale?
its next week
I can't wait to see how they faked the trailer this time
This game bored the shit out of me on launch, but it's pretty clear that there was love there even in its weak state on launch. These updates just further solidify how much heart was put into the game, and how hard the failure on launch probably hit them. I don't think I've ever seen a dev team evolve/fix a game so heavily after such a devastating launch.
how dare you steal my joke hours before I posted it
https://i.imgur.com/lTqZabk.png Huh, what a turnaround. I might pick it up on sale now. I get the "Dur Hur It's All Fake" people are throwing around after seeing the trailer because the launch of the game made the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster look like a minor technical hiccup but it's kinda silly to rag on the lastest update when you can just wait and check some gameplay when it releases. They've actually stopped making empty promises, shut up, tucked their heads down and GOT TO WORK and I can appreciate that.
I wonder if they'll add more stuff to do on the ground like combat or something, I like exploration and resource gathering but I can't help but enjoy other aspects besides it in games. Either way props to them for sticking through and really making this game what they wanted to sell to people.
Have they made the planets themselves more interesting? They wanted it to be at least somewhat realistic so most worlds are barren, but they're also littered with outposts and research station, kind of deflating any sense of exploration you might have. That and the planet geography was (back at launch) incredibly bland, especially at the beginning. I played for 16 hours and only the second to last planet I found was interesting to explore, but it also had space ports everywhere, so my jungle exploration was ruined by the constant ships taking off and landing around me.
This game is still $60? It's kind of hard to accept the "they've made amends for all their previous mistakes and this game is a good value now" line when they're still trying to charge such an outrageous price for it.
Yeah, I wish Rocksteady would fix Arkham Knight but instead they just abandoned it to work on shitty DLC
It's twenty bucks for a used copy but I looked on amazon and it looks like they're doing a physical rerelease that comes with pre order bonuses which is just a lil skeezy. https://www.amazon.com/No-Mans-Sky-Xbox-One/dp/B07BVTTLGX/ref=lp_3447636011_1_16?srs=3447636011&ie=UTF8&qid=1531859641&sr=8-16
I had zero issues with Arkham Knight on PC when I played through it a year back, and I was even able to max everything out and keep close to 60fps on my 1060(laptop). Never even saw any glitches as well.
Nah. They're about half way to what they purported this game to be.
Not falling for this again. Fool me once... No Man's Sky was a DOA game and it should stay dead. I'll be the "ending" is identical.
How close minded do you have to be lol.
They've had 4 major updates since the game launched, that is hardly 'Dead'. Sounds like there will be PvP.
If VR becomes a thing for this game, I'm sold.
sony forcing this experimental indie game to be a huge AAA release was a massive mistake and it kind of sucks that most of the blowback fell onto the studio instead of the publisher
I hope the changes to the generation go well. I wasn't bothered really by in the game except this. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/107155/e943a51b-1072-4ea7-ae10-6f7487911ebd/image.png The majority of planets I visited just looked gross. Not in a "mysterious alien world" kind of way, but in a "colorblind robot placing models" kind of way. There was a single planet I visited that had cyan skies with pink grass, and lots of foliage that looked incredible. Exploring it was magical. Hoping to see more of that is certainly what's going to be having me come back for another try.
Didn't they also get hit with a huge flood that destroyed a large amount of data, which is why even stuff unveiled months prior to launch wasn't in the game?
i always wondered if anyone else saw this i watched someone in a game shop playing it on ps4 right after it launched, and the game was so goddamn hard on the eyes -- all the colors were super harsh, like when some asshole makes a really cute picture and then just ruins it with that awful chromatic aberration effect. i couldn't understand how people could bear to play it
yeah you know, Sony's early access platform they have, right?
Will the price go up once the game leaves early access?
If they're committed to keep updating it until it's "finished" in their eyes, then I am interested to see where it will be down the road. There's still issues with the game obviously but each update they introduce seems to be fulfilling those empty promises Sean Murray made years ago. Granted it took them years to do but better late than never honestly. I'd rather a game slowly become better overtime then to have it be bad forever. I'll commend Hello Games for that. The price tag still sucks though.
yeah, the price tag is ridiculous. if it doesn't go on sale for like $20 or less when this update hits, i can't see myself picking it up it's something i wouldn't mind playing, but not for fucking $60 lol
