The Killing Joke would be great if you cut all the dumb Barbara loves Bruce shit which was as completely out of place as it was to pad it out to a feature animated film. Literally just skip all of the stuff that's not from the original graphic novel and you're left with a pretty good adaptation of the source material.
Trying really hard to emulate Marvel's Netflix series darker tone and dialing it way too over the top whilst taking itself seriously. Yet again they are trying to base what they're doing with live action with what Marvel is doing and completely missing the mark for why it worked
I'm baffled this is going to be a big budget movie. It looks like a made for TV movie that would air on The CW.
This show feels like someone mad at Teen Titans Go made a wish upon a monkey's paw.
I remember someone saying that it literally just drops it after its done. Like they just put it in a filler AFTER making the main plot line.
There's not a single good thing about this trailer.
probably because it's just a prequel short. It's not actually meant to be a part of the movie.
I don't get why would they make Starfire look like a crack addict prostitute in this.
This is the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen, and I've seen Justice League.
so you haven't watched suicide squad.
are they gonna remake this one the moment there's fan backlash too
The trailer looks awful.
Wow DC literally doesn't know what makes their stuff good. Titans is supposed to be the complete opposite of Batman. Not quite Marvel level of bright and cheerful but a happy medium that's at least enjoyable.
TW and DC are very different companies. The animated division knows entirely what makes their products good, and they continue to pull from the same talent pool they have been. The separate licensed/live action section doesn't know and doesn't care, which is why they keep hiring the people they do. Kevin Feige was comics geek well before he was a hollywood producer, there is no TW equivalent.
Fuck it gonna go ahead and post some rumors from a couple days back which this trailer confirmed Robin becomes butthurt because he feels Batman is taking credit for his accomplishments and moves to San Francisco to become his own man. He joins the local police, but nobody likes him because he keeps to himself. His partner Amy also has a reputation for being a fuck-up, which does not do him any favors. He does not want anything to do with the Titans at first but eventually grows fond of them. Becomes Nightwing close to the season finale. Starfire is alien and will be orange through a combination of make-up and CGI. She is on the run from the government and her homeworld and is the Wolverine of the team so to speak, all moody and aggressive. Raven is the daughter of the demon Trigon, the main villain of season 1. She can’t control her powers and is being chased by the Cult of Trigon, because they need her to bring Trigon into the world. Becomes a surrogate sister/daughter to Robin. Beast Boy is the resident quipster. He was on the Doom Patrol, but ran away because he just wanted to be normal. The Titans get into a brawl with the Doom Patrol over him and the Doom Patrol eventually lets him go. Hawk & Dove are veteran vigilantes from San Francisco who are hated by the superhero community because they kill, particularly Hawk. They are a couple and the avatars of Order and Chaos, but are off-balance because Hawk is PUNISHED over the death of his brother, the original Dove. They fight the Titans at first too. Jason Todd is a supporting character, a teenage delinquent from San Francisco who Robin takes under his wing. He eventually figures out Robin’s secret identity and tries to get him to make amends with Batman. While Robin and Batman do not really start getting along again, Batman takes Jason in as the new Robin. Donna Troy has a minor role. She's a runaway Amazon who comes to Men's World in search of her "sister" Wonder Woman, who is a nomad in the series. She ends up bonding with Robin and decides to crash with the Titans in the season finale. Superboy has a minor role. He's a clone of Superman who also has Lex Luthor’s DNA, although Superman treats him like his son. Superboy is having problems coming into his own so Superman sends him to San Francisco to hang out with the Titans in the season finale, creating tension since Robin does not want him around. It's mentioned Supergirl also thinks Superboy is a freak and had a falling out with Superman about it. Cyborg, Arsenal, Kid Flash are namedropped. Batgirl is briefly featured as Robin's ex-girlfriend. They ended on REALLY bad terms and she hates him. Robin and Arsenal are friends, Robin and Kid Flash are kinda' estranged because Robin resents Kid Flash's healthy, supportive relationship with the Flash. Cyborg is said to be a former teen hero who "graduated" to the Justice League. Seamus Dever is playing Evan Logue, a preacher for the Cult of Trigon who becomes Trigon's human vessel for most of the season. Hush and Blackfire will be villains in season 2, with season 1 ending on a cliffhanger of Hush using the Bat-signal to lure Nightwing into a trap. General Zod and Psimon are also being considered. The overall theme is "teenage corruption". Lots of gore and cursing, a few asses (male and female), no tits. Some sideboob at best.
DC films look like television shows. Their television shows look like fucking Youtube Red shows
Teen Titans Go! did it better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hH8aXw9Qhzk That is the first and last compliment I will ever give that show.
Fuck it, if they wanted to be this dark and edgy then they should've just went all out with it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0u3M6Mq69U&feature=share (i have too much time on my hands sorry)
Did you watch past the first season of Legends? They stopped trying to take the show seriously and the quality went waaaay up
penguinz0 made respond video of this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDfV74pfpy0
I need some lighthearted DC stuff to purge this from my brain. Ah, this'll do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdmVW53Bhd0
Hey guys i think i found the better cut of this trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpx8EYXhZQA

Just wanna take this moment to plug Young Justice. Its really good. Way better than whatever the fuck that was.
Whoever decided that a happy friend to all living things type character needed to burn a dude alive with a completely blank expression deserves to get their nuts caught in a vice.
now we got the 2 extremes, the retarded kiddie friendly and the edgelord extremes
hahahahaha I was already smirking at how stupid or edgy everything looked, but when I heard a scream stock sound effect (that I last heard used in Nintendo 64 games)- immediately followed by the terrible awkwardly loud neck snapping sound I started laughing my ass off. why did they use so many stock sounds? Oh my fucking god those snapchat filter tier demonic effects on raven throughout Is this a joke?
He legit put more effort into his "edgy clothes and makeup" visual gag than DC did this entire trailer.
The most entertaining thing about this is the stock sound effect around 1:14.
The goofy-ass gun shots followed by he ridiculous neck crack at 0:52 are ten times better.
