Every time I see a Clone commando in this show I break out in a bigass nostalgic grin.
Republic commando was one of my favourite games growing up, and it's nice to see stuff like that still included in the official cannon.
The attention to detail is heartwarming too, I remember a scene in one episode where a clone commando is asked to scan an area by some dumb little alien thing- and we get a shot from the commando's point of view- with the full heads up display from the video game shown, and the same echo you can hear distorting Delta 38's voice inside his helmet in the game.

What they're doing here isn't a new series, they're just wrapping up an old one.
Ah good, theirs so much potential for a post ROTJ series that has me excited. Especially since they might adopt some of Thrawns story arcs from it.

Come on man - I'm not really a big of Clone Wars myself (I prefer the original Tartakovsky series), but calling it an "animated holocaust" when stuff like The Nutshack and Brickleberry exists is hyperbole to to a stupid degree. It also legitimately succeeds in ways that the prequels failed - like showing the gradual descent of Anakin into the dark side, and making non-entities like Darth Maul into actual characters.
