There's Asexual people out there in happy relationships with sexual people. @Pascall can tell you all about it.
It's a thing called "exceptions to the rule". There's a reason I used wording like "for most people" and "usually", it's because I'm speaking in general terms - I'm not talking about how people should feel about sexuality individually.
If sex is that important to a person, why would they be dating an asexual person then? Like saying sex is important for everyone else is a no brainer, but asexuals still give sexual compassion if their partner needs it. They just don't find the gratification of it.
Could you quote exactly which point of mine your arguing right now? Maybe there's a misunderstanding here, but my impression of loadingue's original post was that he was speaking in general terms: Which is why I'm (speaking in broad, general terms) saying that no, sex is important in life.
Sex is important for most people. Honestly since growing up, compassion is a hell of a lot more important. Love fits into the compassion territory, but sex is just like an by product of general compassion. So an asexual person could give their partner sexual release as an act of compassion like everyone else.
Sure they could. I honestly don't really know what we're arguing here - I was speaking in broad terms exactly because asexual people exist. And of course love is more important than sex, but that doesn't make the latter unimportant.
If the asexual person is having sex to keep their sexual partner happy, then that kind of show how important sex is for the majority of people. Pretty sure the vast majority would not be happy in a totally sexless relationship.
Yeah I'm asexual but even I can agree that sex is pretty important to most people in relationships! Which is why I'm currently single! Lol.
