Not really, it all depends on what you're looking to achieve, if your a normal raider, then that diffculty will drop Azerite gear that'll require your AP to be at 30(not actual numbers), and if you're content with just doing normal raids then you wont need to grind any higher atleast until the next raid drops.
Really it felt way more like a literal treadmill than WoD did. So many timegates and shit. Although to be fair, if you're a PVPer or a raider, it's pretty quick to get into what you want to do. But I still quit during legion whereas with WoD I stayed around for... some reason.
On a fresh character leveled several patches into the expansion, it was a bit much, but it was just about the right amount for people like me that played through the whole expansion. This is the first expansion where I did proper raiding, having only barely cleared Hellfire Citadel on Heroic in WoD and now being a tank on Mythic Argus. The legendaries added a lot of depth to character customization (with the unfortunate side-effect of 6-piece tiers meaning someone could have 8 item slots locked in, unable to get upgrades), and the artifact weapons were perfect for filling the specs in. AP grinding stopped being a thing right around I'd say a month before Tomb of Sargeras opened, that's the last time I remember caring about AP, because the weapon empowerment was introduced back then. BfA's implementation of the system seems much better than Legion, even if it has none of the depth that artifact weapons provided. The progress is locked to the necklace everyone will be using, so you don't need to grind every spec you have anymore, you just have the necklace on you.
Yeah, but still, Nighthold launch was fucking brutal. Especially when Maw of Souls grinding was the most efficient way to get AP. Eugh.
"Morally Grey" is way too charitable, Sylvanas is a coniving selfish monster. Dumbest shit choosing her for warchief. Had to force the conflict somehow I guess.
I know, it's a joke on how Blizzard considers her morally grey while she's been an evil bitch for a while now and in this expansion she's turned into a saturday morning cartoon villain. Never understood why she'd ever be considered to be warchief, doesn't seem to fit in with the horde. It feels awful to me to play horde right now. I like to rp a bit and it just feels odd playing on my undead or troll druid.
Probably why you don't leave the choice of warchief down to the guy who's been poisoned with demon shit and literally is about to die and starts talking about "da spirits told me to choose you even tho I think you're an evil cunt"
He's saying it sarcastically. Blizzard have been assuring us that Sylvanas' actions in BFA will be "morally gray" but it very clearly hasn't been. Calling blatantly evil shit in WoW "morally grey" is a running joke.
I found a lot of joy in the Mythic+ system, but the grouping up is crap. I don't share the same tiredness as other people in the thread but I understand where they are coming from, my brother and I run a little casual guild with lots of people who are active and just do daily content (not even dungeons or raids) for fun. You can probably blame them for keeping the game relevant to me. I'm satisfied with the frequency of video & cinematic movies that are releasing, they seem to spend more money on VFX than the game. Lol. I'm happy to see friends from the beginning of the expansion returning, lots of old faces are starting to pop up again! I hope y'all will have a fun time next expansion!

I wonder how Blizzard feels about Zekhan, I can't imagine they expected him to get this massive of a response. The fans are going nuts over him.
Zekhan is the face players want to represent the Horde. Optimistic with a sense of brotherhood and honor
he's not in-game at all at the moment since he was never planned to, his sudden rise in popularity might have him introduced in later patches. (hopefully, we need more troll characters)
It's kind of funny and sad at the same time, really. A random troll not intended to be anything ingame is a better representation of the horde than our current warchief is.
What's sadder is that there is still a ton of people defending said Warchief's actions. All because of, I 'unno, her boobs or something.
her plan wasn't even to burn the tree to begin with, it was a back up maneuver incase malfurion got away which he did because she legit fell for the classic evil person trope of let your lackies handle the really important thing
I hope Zekhan goes the way of Baine Bloodhoof, where you kinda just see him floating around until he becomes a big player. I can see him as a big character down the road.
considering there's like no other important darkspear trolls except like, rokhan left, he better become important purely to give some actual characters to the race
It wasn't even a back up plan. She burned the tree down because she got zinged by a dying night elf.
mythic+ is my absolute favourite content to do with friends in any game right now
her original plan was to break the spirits of the night elves by killing malfurion. she knew that saurfang let him escape, so instead she chose to break their spirits in another way.
she did it to get saurfang in on it, she tried to bloody his hands as well
Holy shit, Wow lore looks to have become loads better since WotLC. I really wish there was an easily digestible way to get into the storyline without having to put so much time into the game.
Whose spirits? The Night Elf civilians stuck in the tree and the city? The already-defeated garrison in the city? The large force of reinforcements who are almost undoubtedly going to be RIPSHIT PISSED at seeing one of their spiritual landmarks burned to the ground? I can sorta see why Sylvanas would burn the tree down, but holy shit is it a strategic blunder. I can see why Hordefriends, who spent years fighting evil monsters and desperately hoping they managed to get a Warchief that wasn't a Metzen-addled warmonger, are angry that Sylvanas has come in swinging for round two.
to begin with, her plan was to break the spirits of the whole night elf population by killing their leader, malfurion. sylvanas only intended to burn down teldrassil if malfurion didn't die. taking over teldrassil was the actual plan if malfurion died, but since saurfang bitched out because of honor, catapults got brought in.
The cinematics have gotten better but the story has only gotten worse lol. Save yourself some time and just look at the wiki. You haven't missed anything since WOTLK. Warlords of Draenor is regarded as one of the worst expansions in WoW history and Legion entered the playing field with some real head scratchers.
Gameplay wise, Legion was pretty good and way better than WoD, which is pretty indisputably considered the low-point of WoW, especially if you take into account subscription numbers. Story wise, it's a mess, and it's been a mess for awhile. Not helped at all by the fact that you need to read books to get the full plot.
I still can't get over how blizzard handled vol'jin and I'm not even a horde main. He becomes warchief at the end of MoP and is never seen except once in your garrison during WoD and that's it, only to be later killed in a pre-patch. I was really hoping Queen Azshara would be the one instigating the war between the factions.
Vol'jin's death is literally something I will never forgive Blizzard for. Such a needless decision carried out in the worst possible way. Apparently his spirit will have some role to play in BFA, and that's cool enough. I want to see more Vol'jin. But it doesn't make up for the way they handled him.
