Make more $$$ after a lot of the PC players buy it on a console. Double their money.
FUCK
Can't wait to see how badly they fuck up the online like they did with GTAV.
This is how the GTA V trailers were worded, too, and it brought an air of professionalism and "hey, this thing we're doing? It's a fucking piece of art that we're going to explain". It vaguely brings up more ideas and gameplay to make it feel more densely packed, which it will be. No nee to be snarky about it.
Ah my bad, I forgot what the abbreviation for Take-Two was. I miss the original RDR one though, it was really nice.
Is this even coming to PC, the first didn't. Not going to buy this for consoles, hell, I'm iffy on buying it in general seeing how GTAV's online was made in the worst way to do multiplayer for a free2play game, and it COSTED money.
There's been no word on a PC port as of yet, so we're all left guessing like with GTAV up until they announce it or they don't.
Visually stunning
As much as I'm looking forward to this game I'll hold off until release. The story was a huge reason why I loved the first RDR and I'm really hoping they don't pull a GTA V and fuck it up.
Please give PC this one, PLEASE. I don't want to have to buy an xbone or ps4
The story in GTAV was good though The only thing wrong with GTAV was the multiplayer and it's incredibly bullshit online economy. The SP was fine and unaffected by that by and large.
Well the story itself was fine, but I found myself having an intense dislike for the actual characters, they felt like cartoons compared to Niko/Marsden.
That's fine I absolutely fucking hated GTAIV's story and thought it was boring trite. I enjoyed the bombast and over the top way that GTAV was framed. It was more enjoyable to me. I don't see this games story being bad though, even if it aims more towards the Niko type story.
To be honest its been years since I played either, but I have far fonder memories of my time with GTA 4, something about it hooked me in a way RDR did and GTA V absolutely did not. I can't really explain why but for whatever reason I bounced off that one hard. Which is weird because I enjoyed the series since GTA 3.
Looks pretty, but this was a lot shorter than i was expecting. And this didn't really go into any more information that we already didn't know about from what the press saw like a month or two ago.
Idk if I wanna buy this for my PS4 or hold out for the PC versio n
I'm glad to get it on PS4 cause atleast i don't have to use that awful Rockstar Social Club thing.
What are you talking about, the singleplayer was totally gimped to lure people into online and its microtransactions
How so? Proof? Citations? Evidence? Anything for me to believe that isn't just "I say so"? I'm not saying it was flawless, but the SP was good, fun, and long enough that I never was bothered by it. What are you talking about
Doesn't feel like SP was gimped at all the SP felt pretty fulfilling.
It had features missing that were in the Online mode from day one, and each content patch added features to the online exclusively. It's makes sense business wise, but it's scummy. Just like microtransactions. It's not that hard to put one and one together, and the inclusion of shark cards throws the benefit of doubt straight out the window. Even if you wanna believe that rockstar can do no wrong, the content asymmetry between the singleplayer mode and online mode is irrefutable.
https://twitter.com/SPgamer786/status/1027640908102225921/photo/1 Rockstar's got some amazing tech-wizards working for them.
I'm not disputing the asymmetry, but I never assumed the singleplayer and the multiplayer would be symmetrical I don't like that GTAV didn't get singleplayer DLC. That doesn't change that the base games singleplayer was a good time.
Modelled testicles seems like something GTA would do not Rockstar.
What is it with almost every singleplayer shooter in the past five or so years having hitmarkers? Also, why can't I turn them off in most of those games? Even in GTA5 you couldn't turn them off completely without a mod.
RDR had them too.
Action feedback. For most people things like hit noises and markers are a way to provide feedback when in a fight. It's a psychological reward almost on the same level as things like social media notifications. It triggers a tiny little boost to people and provides a way to easily identify that something they have done actually had an impact. Some games handle this in other ways, such as by having bullet impact sounds that are particularly loud when hitting a body or certain targets, or by showing guysers of blood and loud meaty noises with every shot. But a hit marker and little click sound have proven to be remarkably efficient.
I really want to play this as soon as possible but I really don't want to buy into Rockstars hype and be disappointed as fuck like with GTA V
Can't wait to punch a horse in the balls.
I doubt the story is going to be as short as GTA V’s. It was short because they had planned on expanding it with DLC, but quit because they realized microtransactions make more money than DLC would, so it feels a little half baked because they neglected to finish it. I don’t think they’re going to do that with the story in RDR 2. That being said, the online mode is probably going to be just as bad if not worse when it comes to microtransactions.
