Thats how i viewed the humor around "Bashing Furries"
Meanwhile when people do it unironically, it comes off as cringey or a bit dickish. I think the only time when unironic bashing makes sense is the furries who try to jam their fetishes into other communities and what not.
I mean gene therapy is theoretically possible. But even if it was practical in the realworld, would be so specific person to person, it'd be impossibly expensive so ehh.

the time that furry art sold at an auction on tv in the 90s
Then you didn't actually watch the video, then. The issue isn't "I like this thing", the issue is "you need to like this thing and also we're never going to talk about anything else but this thing, ever", which is where the fandom made strides towards at the beginning of the oughts, at the direct behest of two of the people featured in the video, whom took dissent or an appeal to things like logic and reason as deeply and directly personal insults and made it their mantra and goal to alienate as many people as humanly possible by militant screechbeasts about it.
While you're always going to get hate for these disliked or misunderstood or just drive by trolling, a sizable and loud chunk of the fanbase made it their personal crusade in the late nineties and early oughts to 'convert' people, and it went about as well as you'd expect. Current furries have figured out just to do your thing and don't worry about what anyone else is doing or saying, and surprise things are in a much better spot.
You speak as if this were bad
First the furries can unleash their true forms
Then the rest of the society will be subjected to the gene treatments and our species will become trascendent in peace and unity
The sooner you join the less painful the process will be
Tooth and claw wont rend my biomechanical arms.
The most interesting thing about the whole map is that it says there's a barbecue on Launchpad L39A, at the Kennedy Space Centre.

I know a few furries that work at NASA actually lol, one of whom is at KSC and is one of the major public-facing PR people for KSC. We've chatted a few times, mostly to mutually bitch about the nature of this industry haha.
Actually I embraced it religiously as I could except orgy part for most “Transfurries”.
For it probably gonna happen with Humanity mastering Genetic engineering to decades to come.
probably not
It would probarly happen, would it be legal? Probably not.
Yea, keeping say that like people back in "Old times" (Before 1940s) saying we can't mostly mastering Computers, AI, Robotics and anything high tech or electronically related in their time by seeing from Sci-fi books after decades probably say same thing before having more talented people working them within thirty-forty decades make this possible in different style.
is this the fancy way to say "Electronic old men"
I was thinking of influentially reactionary Cyberpunk Transhumanists or Cybernetic lovers that stuck mentally in 1980/90s who have power in society to preventing no more research on most forms of Biotechnology like Synthetic Biology or again Genetic engineering.
Mastering genetics is gonna be a 100-fold more complicated than the development of any current computational applications or hardware.
i had a writing prompt in middle school where the goal was to write an article from 100 years into the future and i decided to write about furries living out their fantasies thru transplants and genetic engineering

good lord i predicted a furry uprising in 2018
a man can clream
I lost my shit at that lady who wrote one of the most scathing and on point things against furries I've ever seen put vegans at the 8th circle of hell, holy christ on a pogo stick what a god
Again it’s only depends if we got talented Scientists or Genetists will give it little boost to mastery in 50-60 years than 100+ years the whole field best we could.
This wouldn't happen to be one of them would it?

Please tell me there's an archive of that twitter thread.
I hope you're not seriously referring to the innuendo in one or two Splatoon drawings because of literally one artist...

This is what people mean when they say "as long as it doesn't affect me" - it was never about "think of the children"
the last part is made up
You are massively overstating how far we actually are.
You didn't see "if" in my previous post, as If we getting them is only time will tell in future.
I have no strong feelings about furries one way or another but I had to check out the FurryMap stuff for my area (the NE of Scotland) and I found the distribution interesting - Most of it is in the city (Aberdeen) which I pretty much expected, although I found it interesting that most of the locations didn't correlate with areas that often house students (which is what I would have expected) but that there are also a couple of furries just out in the middle of nowhere, relatively speaking.
Interesting stuff.

while her twitter isn't deleted it's privated now
it was because of the influx of The Unwanted followers she was getting
d'you have a source for this?
lmao, i saw this and was wondering how wise this was. i'll say i work in the space industry but I avoid getting too detailed on my main/furry twitter account for this very reason.
You're likely not gonna get fired for fuckin' about, so many NASA interns make this sort of mistake. One of my old roommates posted a badge pic in a controlled space/room at JPL and had to then go redact that and go afk on facebook hahahaha. It's like a rite of passage for the overexcited NASA interns: get too excited on social media, get chastised by other employees or higher-ups, disappear from social media for a bit
