Ya'know, would it kill them to use period music? House of the Rising Sun makes zero sense in the context of WW2.

Oh fuck off, DICE.
But delicious-delicious DLCs though.
But BFV isn't getting DLCs ? It's going to be a live service game financed by the purchaseable cosmetic items.
Ah but that's it, no extra factions because you can buy their uniforms!
If they came in free DLCs, I wouldn’t be so salty. It’s a nuisance, but an understandable one of they can’t fit them all on one disc (which is not the case here).
Just another shitty business practice from a publisher that we expect it from pulled by a developer who’s willing to oblige.
Honesty the only way i'd be interested in this is if they significantly ramped up the destruction.
If you were able to demolish every building in that city that'd be something different for BF since it's always small houses or predetermined big things you can destroy
The factions are free dlc, the game at release includes maps set in 1940 and new years with new maps/factions release each "season" until 1945
Fair enough if they’re free.
Hey here's a suggestion that could totally win back some fans
Why not play this?

The only money spending in BFV that we know of right now is in the form of cosmetics.
I'm not playing unless I can have two peglegs for my character.
Plus they missed an opportunity to show off Imperial Japanese forces cuz Rising Sun.
In the Battlefield V reveal trailer, they had the Battlefield 1942 theme playing on the radio of one of the motorbikes.

It can be heard at 0:48 seconds, and lasts until around 1:03.
Oh I'm sorry. I meant expansion packs, yes. And sequels. Ya know there will be.
But that's the same thing? BFV isn't going to get any paid content apart from cosmetics. And there's going to be Battlefield sequels? Wow, no way, you're crazy.
they look like a group of mercenaries
It does make sense though, sorta, if the game took place out in the american countryside. It's a folk song that dates way back before WW2 and probably WW1 aswell. Ofcourse having a modern cover of The Animals' version of it makes no sense.
Bf hasn't had expansion packs since 2142 or BC2 with vietnam. 3-5 have had dlc map packs only.
Interestingly I saw no females in that trailer
hmmmm have they dropped the idea?
What kind of World War Two game has the garand and Thompson, but no Americans?
the stronk independent crippled woman is still in there
There are a few in the trailer, it would not surprise me if they dialed back their presence given the reaction to the initial trailers (but it is definitely still there).
By sequels I meant new games that are actually good old expansion packs. Eastern Front, Pacific Front etc.
It makes sense for Japan somewhat, but none fucking so for Germans instead.
It really seemed like they were just fully done with the Premium Pass obligations by the end of BF1, the second-to-last expansion was not as well developed and still needed a lot of work...
and then a month later the final DLC dropped out of nowhere and was just a lackluster shitshow. Like, it's like they just said fuck it, we're done. Which is bizarre because BF1 keeps getting weapon updates periodically with weapons more interesting than any of the equipment included in either of the final 2 dlc packs
I'll probably end up buying this, but I'm hesitant because as amazing BF1 was, as soon as the initial player base whittled down a bit, the multiplayer became virtually unplayable due to all the tryhards. Same thing happens with Call of Duty every year; the casuals slowly drop off, and the game becomes a slaughter for anyone less than like fucking tenth prestige.
Kinda wish we could go back to the days of singleplayer being the focus, and multiplayer being a fun, and functional distraction.
Has that ever been the case with Battlefield games outside of the Bad Company spinoffs?
And even then the BC2 was mostly multiplayer-centered with an extremely linear and unfun (IMO) SP. But what a multiplayer that was, I didn't have as much fun in any of the following games with the exception of BF1 which I didn't try.
