I just want a rule for 'No low effort posts' or for snipes. Half the threads I go into are filled with pointless posts or vapid attacks on other users out of nowhere. Not to mention my favorite which was someone who was complaining about someone quoting the name of an article exactly and arguing for 10+ posts about a title.

This counts as a stupid rule? Who wants twats on the forum whose idea of comedy is calling others niggers? There was always an exception for genuine discussion, except in the prehistoric age of autoban.

How is smartness relevant to modern facepunch? It’s been gone for a decade.

Uhm, is it just me or are old facepunch links broken in the way that they redirect from e.g. "http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1319023" to "https://forum.facepunch.com/https://forum.facepunch.com/f/gmodaddon/obuf/Unreal-Tournament-99-SWEPs/1/", which leads to an 404 error page. If you remove the double "https://forum.facepunch.com/" it works as it should.

Like I said, this was some coder's project for a few months, then thrown away for the next shiny toy in true Facepunch fashion. This wouldn't be a Facepunch product if it wasn't treated like a Facepunch product, and that's why I love their work.

I mainly use my phone to access the internet and I can barely use the forums on it. It's not "usable".

I use FP on my phone all the time. It's definitely usable.

FP Droid is doing super well these days. The website itself is a lot less usable but the app is doing a fantastic job of patching it up. I wanna smooch whoever makes it, I haven't actually checked

I’m on Iphone. Everything is scrunched, I can’t scroll in threads without going into landscape mode, quoting is a pia, and thread titles get cut off. that isn’t very usable in my book.

Oh I just enable "Desktop site" in the settings, as I do with a lot of mobile sites that just lack features.

I've had less than stellar luck with this on Android, some UI elements do not take kindly to being on a touchscreen.

They do. You can request desktop site on safari. It just doesn't do anything if the website doesn't support it and just uses your browser width to apply styling.
