It feels like the bold text is smaller than the normal text, and that's screwing with my eyes.

Doing some l33t paint.net shenanigans, it honestly seems like you're onto something, although that could just be me breaking everything being absurdly inexperienced with image editing.
The non-bolded section measures 24 pixels high, designated by a black bracket-thing. The bolded one, with the red bracket, measured 23 high.

I don't think it's entirely that it's smaller, it's that you're expecting it to be far bigger than the standard text, and that's the primary factor screwing over your sense of perspective.

as far as the fonts are concerned, they're both running at 13.3333px

what's most likely happening is that since it's using px not pt, since the font's slightly heavier, it's slightly shorter to account for that

The new bold font is too thicc, there's practically no whitespace inside the small letters and they all sort of blur together.

FYI, font is the same. The only difference is that bold is using the actual bold variant instead of your browser just making the normal font thicker.

I don't mind the new font, really, as I think I just need to get used to it, but I'm personally not a fan of so much bold on the main page. Bold is supposed to be for emphasis, but it's not really effective if everything's bold. Just my personal view...

Doesnt have to specify operating system, phone model or anything. Maybe changing the bit that says “(time) ago from (location)” to “(time) ago from (location) via mobile”

might help with figuring out of someone is braindead at grammar or is just typing with 1cm by 1cm phone keys
