Some of you guys badmouthing the franchise are talking a lot of nonsense, each game has objectively made technical leaps over it's predecessor, JC4 is looking to be the exception though, it's going to be the first release in the franchise I'm not actually hyped as it seems way too much like reused assets from JC3 with a hurricane gimmick.
I wanted to enjoy Just Cause 3 so much, but the driving was still so absymal(still an improvement over 2 though) that it became a chore given the amount of travelling(and the wingsuit is only fun for so long). The lack of any fun easter egg locations also didn't help. Really wanted another "Lost" island like in Just Cause 2.
Jfc some of these environments look like they've been ripped straight out of JC3. Like those mountains in the beginning look like they're pretty much just re-used meshes
Just cause constantly suffers from an absence of interesting game mechanics. The mobility is amusing and it definitely has some fun combat when it decides to gets it head out of its own ass and stop deploying an entire military on top of you to stop you from having too much fun, but mechanically it is lacking pretty significantly.
People took Quake too literally.
Like seriously I know reused content is a must in open world but there was no excuse for JC3, it wasn't like there were massive set pieces that they had to focus resources on. That and the driving/piloting was some of the worst I've ever seen, and focusing a lot of challenges on them is hilariously abysmal. There were some that I had to repeat several times because of randomly spawning police NPCs that, in small jeeps, could make my vehicle leave the road and flip out if they so much as tapped me lightly. Which only spawned randomly and could completely ruin a run out of my control
not gonna lie, that tornado looks like something you'd find in a shitty mod for an elder scrolls game lol it has barely any impact on the surroundings whatsoever, and stuff only reacts if its within like 5ft of it
I absolutely loved JC2, I played it all the time just to fly about and mess around, but for some reason JC3 was just dull. I can't really put my finger on why but all I know is I only played it for around 5 hours before dropping it. This looks a lot like JC3.
I also love how you can apparently keep a tornado in... place... by putting a fan on both sides uhh no thats not how that works
