I mean, doesn't the speedrunning community use old clients too? Wouldn't that technically be WAREZ?
SMOD Tactical was the mod that got me to learn how to AI node so I could have nice gunfights in custom maps.
I thought you couldn't run mods on non-steam builds, at the very least I haven't found anything involving that or downgrading it to those physical on disk releases.
I'm so glad that still works, I remember exploiting the shit out of this in the older versions of Smod.

Yeah that's what I was on about, the fact that Tactical has better aiming, rather than just shooting in the middle of the screen.

I took your lack of a rating and a comment as you'd thought that SMOD: Tactical Redux had done away with the natural hip-fire aiming when it wasn't so prominently shown in the trailer.
Fair enough, the wording on my part could've been improved.
Just recently installed SMOD: Tactical anyway, though I tried starting a new game and it didn't feel like loading up any maps, I think putting it in Sourcemods where Steam isn't installed doesn't work, we'll see after I've moved it though back to the installation location.
