For whatever reason the slide lock lever is REALLY finicky about when you have to push it all the way in or it won't lock the barrel where it's supposed to, instead it'll just keep travelling back with the slide I've figured it out but it'll still shit out on me around half the time, either I'm retarded or maybe it's a little wonky because it's a subcompact? I've never had this issue with my browning, walther or beretta but those are all full size and well used
I've done the same multiple times. It's just wonky because you can have the slide too far rearward and insert the slide lock lever between the recoil spring assembly and the barrel pivot slot. If you put the slide on to the point its at rest on the frame (not compressing the recoil spring) then look through the frame where the slide lock is inserted you can see when the barrel pivot is positioned where it needs to be to insert the slide lock through the pivot. Just insert it before you compress the recoil spring. Its easier than it seems.
Yea, but you listed .45 GAP and .357 SIG which are still very niche, which is why I brought up 10mm.
I wouldn't call them so much niche as I would limited market share. .45 gap is pretty straightforward cartridge, being basically .45 acp in a more compact package. .357 sig is a straight upgrade over .40 S&W in every way. greater kinetic energy, lower felt recoil, it's honestly shocking that it hasn't outpaced .40 S&W on the market, especially since they came out just a few years apart from each other, are based on the same parent case, and the whole purpose of .357 sig (recreate .357 magnum ballistics in a semi-automatic pistol cartridge) is way cooler than the purpose of .40 S&W (make a bullet that barely trained fbi desk jockeys can handle)
Niche, limited market share, same difference. I don't think anyone intentionally buys .45 GAP unless they have to, and .357 SIG was supposed to be another wunder cartridge that wasn't. The .357 SIG I've fired felt just as snappy as .40, so it's a safe bet that most aren't going to transition to a cartridge that handles roughly the same and is as or more expensive. Welcome to 9mm's institutional inertia. I really like to think that 7.5 FK is the bleeding edge of handgun cartridges since it offers SBR performance from a handgun.
Which if you cocksuckers should I nominate for the Polidicks council? Given the quality of people already nominated we need a progunner.
you
I wonder if the Lee-Enfield being retired by the Canadian Rangers means there'll be more used Mk.IIIs on the market, would love to one one of those guns imo.
They've been in service for more than half a century. They'll be shot to shit.
Went to the range with a friend today. We had a good time! Steyr AUG 5.56mm Custom AR in .300 blk CZ Scorpion 9mm Sig P228 9mm CZ pistol (his, don't know the model) 9mm Glock 10mm https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/111854/f25b3fa0-e19b-4797-8b5c-6ae1c26a09cf/IMG_20181201_121959.jpg
Wouldn't be hard to get a refurbed one though would it?
I can rebarrel a gun. I wouldn't mind one of the .22 mk3s
131 days https://i.imgur.com/vQkmkDB.jpg My suppressor is at 263
Wouldn't that be fucking nice, but no, the government will throw them into a smelter in Hamilton like the Hi-Powers they're getting rid of. Damn fucking shame.
You're around avarage in terms of wait time on form 4's right now. I've got 3 customers who went over 11 months already >_> Eform 1's are coming back crazy quick, one of my employees did an SBR and got it back in 16 days!
Really? Source?
I'm not going to go look for the scrap-before-surplus policy of the government, but it's fairly widely known that they never sell guns or ammo to civilians. Also it's the Liberals and they hate guns. They're debating banning a good quarter of the guns in the country right now, you really think they're going to sell more to civilians?
The police in my state upgraded from S&W revolvers to M&Ps. The guns were sent to the US and sold second hand. Naturally, when the media got word there was a bit of a media shitstorm.

10MM GLOCK IS BEST MM GLOCK, PRAISE THE G20 SQUAD BOIIIIIII. Sorry, just really love my fellow 10mil armchair operators.
GHOST PAGE GET OUT REEEEEEEEEE
who die
i die. give me coins for the funeral
I just got a Saiga AK74 with only 500 rnds down the barrel and 10 49 round mags for 500, holy shit. I dont have it yet but its coming. Here is a pic of it https://i.imgur.com/JKv2vPA.jpg
You basically just bought a bunch of mags and got the gun for free. I'm jealous, nobody sells shit in the Florida panhandle anywhere near a "deal" price.
Only thing is i need to get it converted so it takes standard handguards and get the barrel threaded so I can put on the 74 brake. Idk how much that is going to cost me
Threading the barrel will probably cost more than a new barrel that's already threaded but idk if barrel swaps on AKs are feasible
Threading a barrel should def be cheaper than a new barrel + swap
They are feasible, but in this case it's probably going to be cheaper to thread the current than do a barrel swap. Just the barrel alone is pressed into the trunion and held with a cross pin. Start adding the gas block and front sight means there's going to be a lot of pinning to be done. Threading the barrel on the other hand just requires a Tap, and unless you need the threads to be concentric to the bore (for suppressor use, which the Russians rarely did with their own guns) it's not all that complicated.
$250 for a new identical barrel: Barrel, 5.45x39mm, 16 A competent gunsmith would most likely charge $60-80 to thread the barrel, however, if he wants a correct AK-74 front sight base and muzzle device, he could just replace it, no threading required: Front sight block assembly, AK
