Firearms XVII - Stuffing A $100 Hi-Point Down the Front of My Jorts Edition

Only thing to be aware of with a CZ75 is that the slide is kinda recessed into the frame, so gripping it in order to rack it takes some getting used to. Otherwise, yeah, pretty much anything by CZ is gonna be golden. Great ergonomics, great trigger, points very naturally (for me at least). Very shootable guns overall.
Getting used to the report is gonna be the biggest thing, starting out. If possible, start out on a .22, they're basically glorified airguns in terms of report and recoil. Good for easing into shooting if you're new.
how much points does it count for if you bayonet a target in 3 gun

Of course one of the grip screw holes doesn’t line up. Move the hole and enlarge the all of the countersinks to match? I don’t want to go as far as to modify the frame.
Just hot glue it on there you don't need screws.
guys cmon this is srs bsns
I'm even risking my life using a harbor freight drillpress as a milling machine.
I can do that once the screws shear under recoil.

Sharpen your drill and take it slow so it wanders less toward the center, and hope your drill chuck doesn't fall out from the horizontal pressure and hit you in the face
If this were a 1911 you could just hold it on there. Gotta do that with the grip safety anyways.
My only other option is a 1911 Gov't grip screw. No one sells custom lenth/head diameter 0.150 - 50 UNS - 2A screws.
I think I may just have to bite the bullet: Acraglass the lower right grip screw hole on the frame closed, then carefully pilot and tap a new hole where the hole in the grip is.
Have you tried a zip tie? Or a piece of string?
you could also just bore out slightly larger diameter recesses in the grip and just use some bushing spacers too, i.e.

Would need like a 3/4" or so pilot and counterbore. I don't think I'll be able to do that with the twist drills I have without removing too much material.
I'm thinking that I'll just have to plug the whole in the frame and move it to fit the panel. Either with a grip screw shaft or some bedding material. I might have to shoot the Anvil crew another email.
Thanks for the tips guys, I'll go for something like that. And I'll make sure not to be "rattled" by the first gunshot.
Also, at the gun range?
Now these are some beautiful rifles:

There's a company that rents them I think.
I have a set. Though if you want to cheap out you can just buy a no go gauge and use a regular round for the go gauge. Just be very careful.

Nearly there. Just need the buffer assembly and a roll pin for the bolt catch. The one that came with the LPK was defective or otherwise garbage and wound up totally fucked, it was all bent and twisted and refused to go all the way in, so this cotter pin will keep the assembly together until then. Not real bothered about the scratches since I'm going to weather this receiver anyway
Thanks again @awcmon for spotting the killer deal on this lower.
i bought a dueling tree

only thing that kinda bothers me is that the post seems to wobble a fair amount. not sure if that's intended/normal or not. it's not a huge problem since it's highly unlikely it'll fall out.
shit came with its own hard case lol
Yes they wobble a little.
oh, do you have the same one? i got the birchwood casey .22lr rimfire dueling tree thing
I do not, but I've seen that one in person before. I have a rifle dueling tree that weighs a million pounds and it has a bit of play in it.
As long as the bolt locks into battery and the cartridges feed, I reckon it'll be fine. The locking surfaces are integral to the barrel, so the worst that could happen is it doesn't go all the way into battery.
Only thing you could really do is sand the face of the receiver evenly where it interfaces with the rim of the barrel extension so it seats a bit deeper. If you pull it off and can re seat it without doing that, then stick with it; it shouldn't cause any issues as-is however.
Yeah, just leave it as-is. I took a look at my factory-built AR, it's the same. Over 1k rounds through it with no issues.
Scored a pair of both single and double heatshield Colt M4 handguards as well as a KAC M4 RAS used in Afghanistan, and the lower half of a KAC M16 RAS, all for $60.
I'm thinking of having a pistol get painted over at Copper Custom. I'm need ideas or suggestions for colors and/or patterns. Getting another USP and I want have some fun with this one. And it will be a V1.
Currently leaning towards either a winter shard pattern or a mono OD Green.
