Was that used? Does not look like a lot of factory parts are on it.
nope, I changed out the charging handle, and the magazine tube
Benelli M4 is on my wish list.
Same, but other guns are still coming before it, mostly due to price or practicality. Used market is an amazing thing for some of the over priced stuff.
Helluva first shotgun! Mine was a Charles Daly pump.
Damn hell of a first big boy purchase for sure I got an M2 and I love it congrats
nice! those Ortgies are fun shooters. got mine a few months ago. Disassembly is a little challenging, but i've learned a little secret.
taking off the slide for maintenance/cleaning/barrel change? cover the back of the slide with your finger, because 50% of the time the spring blasts the firing spring guide off into space. the whole firing pin group is a pain in general.

Yep! Learned that the hard way after launching the spring and plunger across my room twice today.
It's a great little gun. I took it out to shoot today and was having some trouble with light primer strikes and hangfires. I think the striker spring is shot.
And you would proceed to fumble doing anything requiring dexterity, such as removing parts under spring tension while trying to avoid launching the spring into low orbit.
The stars aligned and I finally got a chance to go shoot my pistol with a couple buddies, love it but I'm not a great shot, which I expected. Also shot my buddies .454 Taurus raging bull lmao
Also broke a stand that had a steel plate mounted on it with an AR-15 with some hot hand loaded ammo after pinging it 6 times in a row.
Shot an old police .38 special revolver too and it was like butter.
No revolver runs better than those old cop guns. I dunno what it is about them.
Isn't that gun like turbo-banned in Australia?
Not really. If I ever own some farm land I could get one. I could also get one if they changed may states laws regarding Cat C shotguns to Western Australia's who allow IPSC shooters to have semi and pump shotguns under 5 rounds..

Parts kit and mags received. The barrel maker is 4-10 weeks turnaround.
Where'd you order your barrel from?
www.retrorifles.com The only reviews I can find online are BBB (not good reviews) and a Reddit thread with no resolution. Most of the complaints I read about them in the Reddit thread re:build quality seem to be out of date, though, as their build specs are different now.
I got mine from retrorifles. You might have seen my thread on reddit. I had a problem with mine but they were very quick to sort me out and open about what went wrong. I don't think you'll be disappointed. My rifle using their barrel is sub-MOA at mechanical zero.
Different thread, but thanks for your link! Definitely makes me feel better about ordering through them.
Thought this would be interesting to watch:

Why did they shoot the croc? They were out of the water, I doubt it would have chased them much further.
To be sure.
So this is gonna sound kinda lame since I can't share anything about it yet, but I got my hands on a once in a lifetime firearm and there's a pretty decent chance I'm going to be able to shoot it and make a video once all the legal crap is taken care of. Even if I can't do that I'll be able to share some pictures. It's seriously cool as shit and I can't wait to share it with you guys.

So I picked up one of the Hungarian copies of the Hi-Power and was thinking of getting it cleaned up. I need to get some new mags because the one it came with is just done in general, but if it seems to shoot decently I'm going to get it reblued and get some new grips for it.
I thought about doing a two tone cerakote job on it but decided that may be sacrilegious.
It's not an FN Belgian made and assembled Hi Power, so it's not sacrilegious, plus some were two-tone from the factory, called the Hi Power Practical:

Never knew about those. That bottom one was what I had in mind honestly.
so my sarsilmaz b6p (plastic cz knockoff) i.e. honda defenda cracked a forward rail in the front and i only noticed after taking it apart to clean today
which means it has probably gone through 400-ish rounds with 3/4 frame rails
is jb weld ok enough to hold on the front frame rail or will i eventually catch a slide in the face
Well you shouldn't catch a slide to the face unless the takedown/cam pin were to sheer. The added stress could cause it to sheer over time though.
I would see if you could warranty it first, might as well try and get it done right first before going to things like JB weld.
