And here sit the Aussies with our 10 round magazines.
I went back and checked out that Spanish Mauser, it all looked good so I picked it up.
While I was leaving, someone had brought in a Remington Model 11 and placed it on Consignment for $125 bucks. Gonna go pick it up when they re-open Monday morning.
You won't be disappointed. They are fantastic guns.
I know they are.
This will be my second one. At $125 I can't pass it up.
Just a little surface rust, it'll buff out.
10 in pistols, 5 in semi rifles here, and unlikely that the Supreme Court is ever going to change that.
'least you've still got semi auto rifles though
Not if Trudeau wins the election this year we won't.
Anyone know anything about Miroku shotguns?
Yeah, they make a lot of shotguns for Browning. Very solid firearms, nothing to worry about with them.
If you come across a Miroku Pointer it's basically a Browning Auto-5 or Remington Model 11. Miroku built the last Auto-5s in the late 90's and also made copies as Pointer. Some of the parts are not interchangeable, AFAIK the stock is attached with a bolt through the rear, accessible by removing the buttplate, instead of the tang screw seen in A-5s and M11s..
Can't you rig them up to feed into each other? Literally as many as you have?
Well there's this thing:
California Competition Works
It's an older one. Double barrel 16 Gauge. They had it priced at 400 bucks, which is what I tend to see new, cheaper double barrels listed for.
Wanted to do a bit of research on it. I never even heard of them before.
It might that cheap since 16 gauge is on the outs as far as shotgun shells are concerned. How's the finish on it?
Looked really good. Looked like a fudd had it locked up for 50 years in a dry storage with no one touching it. It has a bit of flower engravings on the side of it.
I already have a 16 gauge, so that isn't too much of a problem.
Check the lock up and see if there is any play between the barrel and the bolt face. Also see if they will let you "ring" the barrels. Might caost more to get it fixed if it turns out that the barrels are no longer properly connected.
That's not how it works.
I went back and picked up that Model 11. Made in 1922, its a little younger than my first one.

i work in the ghetto
a gun fell out of the sky
I bought another bolt for that Spanish Mauser I picked up.
Managed to find one on Ebay for $40. Figured I'd just spend the extra 25 bucks, all the extractor collars I found where in the range of 12-15 shipped.
You might want to see if the bolt has any mirco cracks in it. If it dies have any cracks, you're gonna have a kaboom.
I checked the thing over head and tails, other than some pitting on the handle of the bolt it seemed find.
I'm guessing whoever owned it before me had decided to clean the bolt, removed the collar and just bent it back on in some shitty way. I still don't exactly trust it though. Since its one of the Spanish Mausers that don't have SNs stamped across the board I don't feel bad about it.
Hey guys, check out my new mk18 build!

Why would a police entry team chose that over an MP5, UMP, or any other sub machine gun designed for entry teams?
My uncle’s ‘Nam pics came in. Check out his little m2 carbine. He was a radioman in the USMC, (‘70- 72)
