If they wanted a .45, a Vector would of been perfect too.
Hell, a 10mm MP5 even... that would of been way fucking cooler.
I'm glad they locked him up for life. Now he can never rape another gun or person again.
I actually talked to the guy before the whole raping thing came to light. He had called the shop looking for Star model B parts. Small fucking world man.
If full auto anything wasn’t so scarce and the Hughes amendment didn’t exist, I would probably like a reproduction one of those with the modular accessories just for shits and giggles since it wouldn’t be a rare gun of historical value.
With that being said, why in the fuck would you choose a Thompson as an entry team gun? The first time I saw that aired I didn’t know nearly as much guns but looking at it now, that seems like a horrible decision by the sheriff and I hope he didn’t really go through with issuing those for the following reasons:
The damn things weigh like what 10 lbs unloaded despite being a pistol chambered carbine?
Huge overall length even with a short barrel.
Reciprocating holt handle which can get hung up on any number of things in close quarters or unconventional firing positions.
OG fully automatic Thompsons are supposed to have a fire selection switch and a separate safety switch located on an inconvenient area of the weapon compared to most modern designs, but who knows what they did since this was converted from a semiautomatic only reproduction model.
Reloading a Thompson under pressure is not the most ergonomic thing.
Drum magazines rattle and could give away your position prior to entry.
Nobody uses full auto in like 99% of the tactical situations they’re probably going to face, especially with the high probability of non-combatants in the surrounding areas where the added risk of missing your target in full auto could result in collateral damage.
not supposed to talk about bestgunnit
I used to do business with him plenty before sons of guns came out. his guns were shit and he was about as personable as pcp addict, but he was a local and reliable source of antique gun parts
The reciprocating charging handle isn't a big deal considering AKs and SCARs are currently in use everywhere; being open bolt is an issue, and you'll never see a SAW gunner be the first guy into a building or room because of it.
I'm not gonna lie the one Draza posted is kinda dope as fuck. I would never do it to an intact original lol but it looks pretty tight
So 81% of respondents to a federal survey said that stricter gun control wouldn't help, and 50% of the "stakeholders" they consulted said the same, and what does the media say about it? "Canada is polarized on whether to ban handguns and 'assault weapons.'" Polarized my ass, 81% is a clear, decisive indication that Canadians do not support these bans that are being talked about. If there was a poll about which party peopel were going to vote for and one had 81% support they'd be calling it a landslide, but guns? "Polarized." And people wonder why trust in the media is at all-time lows. What a crock of bullshit.
Personally, the rear rail and front hand guard look alright on it.

So one Canadian gun rights organization decided to sue another about their logo. Let's just say that people are not happy that the NFA did this.
So it turns out that the muzzleloading airgun i built a few years ago is considered a destructive device under florida law. Due to the barrel being 1/2" in dia. Do y'all think i'd get into some shit if i got caught playing with it out in the woods? I still enjoy shooting it but dont want to be thrown in penn for having basically a small caliber spudgun.
(4) “Destructive device” means any bomb, grenade, mine, rocket, missile, pipebomb, or similar device containing an explosive, incendiary, or poison gas and includes any frangible container filled with an explosive, incendiary, explosive gas, or expanding gas, which is designed or so constructed as to explode by such filler and is capable of causing bodily harm or property damage; any combination of parts either designed or intended for use in converting any device into a destructive device and from which a destructive device may be readily assembled; any device declared a destructive device by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms; any type of weapon which will, is designed to, or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of any explosive and which has a barrel with a bore of one-half inch or more in diameter; and ammunition for such destructive devices, but not including shotgun shells or any other ammunition designed for use in a firearm other than a destructive device. “Destructive device” does not include:
(a) A device which is not designed, redesigned, used, or intended for use as a weapon;
(b) Any device, although originally designed as a weapon, which is redesigned so that it may be used solely as a signaling, line-throwing, safety, or similar device;
(c) Any shotgun other than a short-barreled shotgun; or
(d) Any nonautomatic rifle (other than a short-barreled rifle) generally recognized or particularly suitable for use for the hunting of big game.
the only possible reason it could be a dd in florida is if the receiver is if you're using an explosive charge to fire it.
just because the barrel is bigger than half an inch doesn't mean it's a dd, if you are using air (as airgun implies) then as long as the receiver isn't frangible (i hope it isnt) you're good.
Better hide your dog
Does anyone know what type of bayonets will fit on the end of a Spanish Mauser? I keep finding actual spanish issue ones, but they're almost the price of the gun.
I mean, all this is valid, but is a rifled muzzleloading cannon ever NOT considered a destructive device?
federal law says muzzleloaders aren't firearms.
I impulse bought the late 80s first iteration of the Hi Point for $50. Pics when I get it
I love it already in a morbid curiosity sort of way.
I also found out that it's covered under Hi-Point's unlimited warranty, so I'm never going to say another bad word about Hi-Point. Doing free repairs on a 32 year old gun that they didn't even make for a guy who isn't even the original owner is a level of customer service that can't be topped.
But will it still fire if you mash a twinky into the mag well?
Hopefully!
Yeah, I was gonna say. You can dredge a HiPoint out of a lake, totally encased in rust, and ship it to them and they'll clean it up, refinish it, replace all the worn parts and send it back with an extra mag for your trouble.
Yes, pretty much everywhere else in the country according to federal law.
So my A1 barrel finally shipped this afternoon, really excited to be able to finish this build...
So I recently got a Sig P320 X Full Size Slide (optic plate and night sights but standard otherwise) and X-Carry grip and had a holster question. Anyone know of what a good owb holster would be for this. I also got the x full size frame but I dont have 21 rounders yet.
Don't bother with the extended mag for carry. I am assuming you are not trying to hide .
Nope it's a bit too long for that I think.
My barrel that I ordered Feb 21st finally came in!
