So, Garand Thumb and Demolition Ranch videos are still up on YT. So is The Firearm Blog and NFA Reviews, hickok45 and IV8888. This dude with the .22s, I don't know how legal those things were, so I can't say for him. As for MAC, I like his videos, but I wouldn't put it past him to take down his videos himself to stir up some drama...
He has a manufacturers licence.
royal nonesuch has a type 7 ffl and class 2 sot
Got the info for MAC from a patreon post. So take it or leave it.

Is that knife tip broken?
Yep. This bayonet has seen some serious shit. The original guard is also bent and rattles like a Ford.
it's on safe
I got the thing in a mystery box from Kommando store like 5 years ago. I was gonna reshape it some on a grinder to kill coons under the scales of grain elevators but a mag light or a sharp spade works just as good so I never got around to it. Better off Gren turning into something ridiculous than it taking up space in my garage.
I’m getting that stupid “page 7 redirects to page 1” bug again on mobile.
Fleck just nuked his account, so all his posts got removed from the thread.
Why, what happened? Are they ok? Did his country go full retard and ban straight pull bolt ar15s?
The reason the 1911 is more accurate than a M9 is because its got a 46 foot long barrel, not an old beat to shit m9, and is probably more ergonomic for you. If you want something similar but without the obsolete stupidity and shitty caliber, try a CZ75b, Hi power, or any pistol with a 5 inch barrel. No, FP is on the way out like an old woman in hospice who cant stop shitting herself, and the gun thread exists entirely within our discord. Why fuck around with this place anymore tbh
Ok but my question was compared to OTHER 1911s if the Sigs were a better value at around the $1000 price point. We already know your opinion on the design itself
If you want a more classic style 1911, I love my Remington Milspec. I've never had a failure in the ~750 rounds I've put through it, and it's more accurate than I'll probably ever be able to shoot.
45 acp makes bigger holes
All 1911s are equally bad value and all M9s are beat to shit out of the box. 19+1 medium sized holes is better than 7+1 medium sized holes
you know there are guns other than 1911s in 45 acp right
Did a 1911 run off with your wife or something?
Nah, he probably got bit by the hammer once and now has undying hatred for them. An an alternate note, finally upgrading from a Ruger MK III to a MK IV. The new blued gun isn't as nice in finish when compared to my old MKIII, but getting an improved take down is worth it along with the removal of that dumb chamber indicator.
Yea those are garbage too. .45 has been irrelevant since 1902, 3 years before John "cant design shit for dicks" Browning even designed it. Unless you buy into "2 WOR WORS WON"
Can't design shit... Except the M2 Browning and .50BMG, the Hi Power, which almost every pistol action is based on, just to name a few. Highest factory capacity .45 you can get is 15+1 with the FNX-45, which is as much as your average 9mm compact pistol, and more than a 9mm pocket pistol.
He worked on the hipower, didnt fully design it. Thankfully he keeled over and left the work to someone smart enough not to put a fuckin grip safety on it. M2 is just a recoil based machine gun upscaled to .50. No different than most other machine guns of the era. It was designed to kill tanks and it sucked at that. John Browning sucked and I'm glad he didnt live long enough to ruin the hipower or design some other garbage. Wow same capacity, twice the size, and no increase in lethality. That justifies .45acp all together right there, yesir.
Not touching that with a barge pole. In other news a new gun/milsurp store opened really close to home and the guy is selling the best variety of stuff in the area. First time seeing a SAR-48 Israeli pattern FAL. Ended up putting a down payment for layaway on a new PTR-91 GI model. About 200 dollars cheaper than what I could find online new. Been wanting a G3 type rifle for ages and stores out here only sold century. It will probably be ungodly expensive but I really want one of the claw mounts for the sight rail.
John Browning invented the fucking slide. Almost every modern pistol company owes him for designing the thing that makes all their pistols work. And do you have any proof that he was planning to put a grip safety on the Hi Power before his son and FN's lead gunsmith finished it, based on his designs and wishes? Because frankly, I really don't think either of them added anything to it that he didn't already have planned. Browning invented some of America's, if not the world's, most iconic firearms. Everything Winchester made from 1886 to 1900 was designed by him. The world's first commercial semi-auto shotgun was designed by him. Almost every modern pistol can trace some aspect of its design back to something invented by Browning. He designed every semi-auto that Colt and FN made until about the '70s. And the M2 wasn't designed to kill tanks, it was designed to take down armoured aircraft, and it was quite effective at that. It continues to be an effective gun against light armoured vehicles to this day. John Moses Browning is inarguably the most prolific and influential gunmaker in history. Just because you don't like one gun he made doesn't change the influence he had on the firearms world as a whole.
FYI the grip safety was a military request. The Browning 1900 and its derivatives never had grip safeties. Lets not forget the linkless barrel, which was also one of his creations since he had to work around his own patent for the linked barrel when he sold the rights to the 1911.
tell me what gun you carry and ill tell you why its a 1911
At risk of sounding like every thread on /k: While I’ll agree that 9mm is overall better for most civilian applications, I think it’s a bit unfair to claim .45acp doesn’t have any meaningful applications. I was under the impression that a bunch of loads were already subsonic so you wouldn’t really lose velocity by wanting to use subsonic ammo with a suppressor. Also thought people liked it for military applications since they are basically restricted to ball ammo? I thought the PTR 91s had a rail welded on to the top of the receiver? Wouldn’t that interfere with putting on a claw mount?
The one you are thinking of is the PTR-91R versions of their rifles. I would go with that over hunting down a clawmount to for a standard PTR.
Some of them do, others dont. The one I'm getting is a pretty close copy of the pre wide handguard g3. I'm only really getting it for range and shits and giggles. I really dont need an optic for it all that bad, and I just think those clawmounts look cool as hell. Depending on how well I like this one, I may save up and get the R version and get the mlok handguard for it.
