nah I totally do, modern web is so fucking lame and devoid of creativity or uniqueness. sigs were great because you could find people with similar interests just by looking at their sig and not necessarily chasing all their posts across mutual threads. the fact that in later years sigs served to do little but break margins and spam goatse doesn't change the fact that they were fuckin baller
i know a lot of places restricted the amount of characters you could have in a signature, as well as size constraints on images placed therein. i think that was the best system, because the character count also included BBCode and shit, so you couldn't just cram a bunch of pictures and not have the [img] tags count towards the limit
