Hey there lads. How's going?
I just spent the past hour and a half setting up my grandmother's new toaster oven. It would have been significantly shorter except I had to stop every minute because she kept panicking over how big it was. Then I had to explain that the warning on the power cord was moreso "hey stupid, don't try to use this in a standard non grounded/two prong outlet" instead of how she interpreted it: "plug this in TO DIE!!!!!!!!1".
Once again I had issues with my internet connectivity.
"We" have a fairly poor connection, 1024 kbps/128 kbps Down/Up, and some people that were trusted with the password were giving it around like candy and abused the already barely functioning speeds to the point of uselessness. This caused the person in charge of paying the bills to be understandably upset about that and change the password.
I was given access after correctly guessing what was happening from my AP/Bridge diagnostics and talking to the person, but was also given a warning that if such a thing were to happen again maybe next time I wouldn't be given the privilege. It'd be hard to prove to someone not that technically-knowledgeable (at a glance atleast) that I'm not the culpirit of the problems. I have limited my computer's bandwidth to 256k/32k to leave plenty of room just in case.
It seems that the only decent way of getting a job and having some fun with my programming/gamedev hobby hangs by a thread. Not very optimistic but will keep going just in case...
W.R.T. prog/gdev I really haven't completed even a pong clone yet (actually working on one to practice); motivation being rather unpredictable in my case. But sometimes I have strongly wanted to work on my first 'real' thing so over some time I have scratched at it on and off; iterated on some art and coded very simple tests.
No working code just some accurate mockups, but still better than the first ones I made (thankfully).

Yes that's where the av comes from; I'm not that creative so I just usually use nothing or whatever I'm currently interested/working on as av/nicknames.
