Use the select tool and use it to only have what you're trying to edit selected. Once you've done that, hit Ctrl+C and then Ctrl+V to paste it as a new layer. Invert the color of that layer, and then adjust your brightness levels accordingly.

Go to Image -> adjustments -> Vibrance: move the saturation slider till everything is grey'd out. after that go to Image -> adjustments -> Channel Mixer and set that to monochrome and you can edit it into the level of white you want. white like above or nuking it to full white - same steps. unselecting the monochrome box you can add some color back if u want over the white. https://horobox.co.uk/u/qdo5s3.png
