The record of deaths from blows with a body part is remarkably low. I don't think you have a single cogent point that you've tried to raise, so nothing. There is no such thing as "A less than lethal shot". A gun when aimed at a person, is used to kill. That's the first thing they teach you when you learn to use a gun. Never point it at anything you don't want to destroy. If you're target shooting, you only shoot the target. If you're hunting, you shoot to kill the animal as quickly as possible to minimize suffering. When shooting at a person in war, or in police work, it's to neutralize a threat, when defending your home, it's to neutralize the threat. Neutralize is a euphimism for kill in this context. And it has to be that way. A shot to the leg could lead to a stroke at the hospital, or a bleed out before then. A gut shot is a horrific death, but people in adrenaline fueled situations have been known to shrug them off, and stab someone to death before dying. You are a victim of the movie, film, tv, game and cartoon industry that treats guns much more like toys than they are in real life. It leads to a disrespect for guns. Overall I think you've just been ignoring what people say to you and repeating the same "moral" high horse position that I don't really think anyone finds informative or valuable.

The situation plays out the EXACT SAME, roidrage guy still starts swinging at oldman because if anyone was going to continue escalating that, it'd be him, and oldman gets beaned in the head. Is that a much better situation and would you feel better about it with it not having guns? A person is still dying, but because it didn't have firearms is it better?
