UK CTSFO armed with Sig Sauer MCX
Looks like the Norks are copying South Korea again. It's been standing policy for border units to consist of the tallest and most built soldiers, and to wear sunglasses.

Northern troops meanwhile have been sticking with 60s Soviet gear.
What's that wrap around the barrel in the first picture for
It's a suppressor cover. Those things get screaming hot in not a lot of time. Adding some insulation prevents heat haze and can allow you to remove or stow the suppressor without burning things.
wait this is in general now? we're just one step above Firearms General
It's just kinda where fast and video threads ended up when Garry Garried the subforums.
Sig MCX seems to be getting popular with international police forces. Berlin SEK uses it too.

Why is that man named Anastasia?
We are talking about a country where people are named things like Randy Bumgardner, after all :v
It's his last name.
There was a "Deputy Lawless" on Live PD the other day.

First video from Ian's trip to the H&K Grey Room
Who was the guy here trying to make his own revolver? That's a pretty good detailed look at a double action striker mechanism.

Estonia's new rifle trials have concluded and they have selected LMT to provide 5.56 and 7.62 rifles over other offers from Sig and H&K. They are expected to replace the Galil/G3 in service, though conscripts will probably keep using them for a while. Here are the trial rifles:

Interesting, I didn't know these things used essentially integral moon clips.
Also I have a weird question, a while back some gun channel, I want to say it was C&Rsenal showed a prototype rifle design that used what they called a dump magazine, essentially it was a mauser-style box magazine but to reload it you pulled a lever on the side to push the spring and follower all the way down, then you just dropped cartridges in, basically it was like a hybrid of a Mauser and Krag magazine. Does anyone know what that was? I can't seem to find it.
You might be thinking of the ludicrous experimental extended mag for 1871 Mausers.

I found it.

Apparently it was a magazine experimented with on the Ross and Lee-Enfield prototypes but ultimately ditched in favor of mauser style mags.
