He only mentioned gunplay which can be separate from other elements of gameplay and he's not wrong. The guns and their god-awful feel, hipfire and clunkiness ESPECIALLY if you aim down sight was the one thing that made BL2 a 7.5/10 for me when it could be a 8 or 9. Not to mention the retarded difficulty where dodging just isn't viable as enemies with guns will aimbot your ass across the map, turning the game into a boring duck and cover shooter if you remotely step into any zone that's one level higher than you. I haven't even mentioned bullet sponges where the only character I've bothered to complete Ultimate Vault Hunter was Gaige as her 600 stack anarchy and slag bandit orange SMG turned everything into above average TTK. For all the flak Pre-Sequel gets, I appreciate it for spicing up the gunplay by making hipfire more viable and the introduction of the gas packs that add a new dimension of movement. Enemies there also don't aimbot as much afaik, so running out and doing dodges was somewhat more viable there.
I don't recall borderlands 2 being as bad as what people are saying here, I mean I recall it being a fairly solid game just tinted by the later actions of the people behind it. Just hope they snagged up the Tales story writers if they do a third. Though I do wonder why it's just borderlands 2. Surely if they bundled 2, presequal and all the DLC into a VR bundle it would be more worthwhile? And thats not mentioning the price.
Gameplay was miles better, but the story is just meh, even though it wasn't Burch who wrote it.
