Thanks for working to get everything fixed, garry! (And anyone else I might be unaware of who helped, you too.)
Yeah seeing you in discord was enough, let alone real life
was i one of them??? i'm not gonna type 'uwu' but imagine i did
shit wait
cant wait to have nightmares about that fuckin disco ball
Holy shit, I thought it was shutdown. God, I’m so happy it’s back, I was starting to feel pretty down about it.
The forums are back up, now it's time to put garry down
Oh thank god, i was starting to unironicly think about using Reddit.
my internet rotation was cut down to youtube and 4chan. the imbalance was horrendous
The past few days taught me that as sad as it sounds, I kinda need this place as a sense of community in my life.
i shall cut myself in penance
It feels terrible going to this site every day KNOWING it's down and still checking to see if it was up or not.
I need this place Garry, don't do this to me.
When I saw the site was down (before the discoball thing) and with garry deleting all his tweets and all the worry around what he's said about the site, I legit thought the website had unceremoniously run its course. You always move on to the next fad, the next community... but I'm lost when it comes to figuring out anything remotely similar to the perfect balance of freedom, positivity and responsible posting you find on here. Some websites have garbage upvote systems or other features I disagree with that hurt discussion. Others have content control being either too lax, allowing edgelords and shitposting to take root, or too strict, where you're walking on eggshells to make sure you're way over on the right side of good taste lest you get kicked out. And then some websites just have awful communities and stale memes. Even if I found some forum with a good thing going on, it probably wouldn't be even closely related to gaming or Valve games. No other forum can replace what Facepunch has meant for me.
I'd just love to see the videos section magic its way back into existence and for the website to go on to grow old and die of natural causes, only changing when it needs to.
pls dont break my heart
I have witnessed the abyss
baby dont leave me again

I don’t know what happened but seeing the FFS Microsoft gives you a pretty good idea must have been some typical Microsoft bullshit.
I actually went on kotaku and reddit because of the downtime. That was some existential dread. It’s nice to see it back up, this forum always reminds me that I care about it more then I like to lead myself to believe
Had a good time meeting some of yall on the discord. I will never forget the day facepunch died and the discord went fucking wild.
whalecum back u guys i love you please don't leave again thanks <3
dude, reddit blows so much holy shit I missed it here
hah, upvoted my dood.
Thanks for the Gold, kind stranger!
man the main fp discord really is a trash heap
I'd rather drink my own piss.
If there was ever an argument for why Facepunch is better than Discord then the FP Discord would be a great example.
The amount of times I instinctively clicked that button
There was so much down time I actually did work and ended up making an icon for the Hardware and Software refugee discord

I realized that I should probably stop lurking and try to participate, while I still can.
I really don't want this place to go permently.
We've lost a fuck load of posts
In all seriousness, it wasn’t probably the worst time for the forums to go down because of recent events with Garry.
im just so happy we aren’t not dead
It was a gaze into the grimdark alternate timeline where the forum closes forever. It was boring.
Let's pray we don't become that timeline.
