Bit of a rant, I’m taking a class in surveying and I’m having an awful time. The professor is an intertemp and new to teaching, he gives out half of the instructions for the classwork on the assignment sheet, and the other half verbally just once; if you ask him for help he’ll give it, but first he’ll say something like “well if you were paying attention in class then you’d know how to run the sokkia dt6.” His lectures go on more about terminology than they do about giving examples on surveying problems and their solutions, so many of us in class are left to teach ourselves and each other on how to calculate he angle of two walls without being able to setup at the vertex. Finally, any criticism about how he teaches the class is deflected because if he can get it, so should we. There’s so little I can do, I’m getting some accommodations, but I just wish he’d move on already or get promoted to better things so he can get out of my life.
