Heard wonderful news today with my counseling appointment at my college.
Not only that my GPA is totally over the average for the college I want to transfer to, to my total surprise, I can also add a .1 to my overall GPA which is a massive boost. I also have to take only one more semester at the college I'm enrolled in. AND I can totally wipe my only D off the transcript because this epic rule of taking 30 units with good GPA gives you an ability to wipe out one failing grade.
Overall I have a very very good chance to get into the university I want to get my bachelors degree and I thought I would have to take at least 1 1/2 more years at this college in order to get an okay chance at getting it.
Plus some extra icing on the cake: My dad is finally super proud of me and that's probably happened only 3 times in my life.
I finally have hope back in my life.

If memory serves me right, PS3 controllers tend to be rather finicky if you're trying to make them work on your PC (especially via bluetooth). There are some guides available online that should help, but I'd personally recommend just getting a separate controller that's PC compatible.

I've heard of people flashing new firmware to the controller to turn it into an xbox controller, because it's PC compatibility is fucked beyond relief.
Sony corrected this with the the Dualshock4, just uses directinput like most controllers on the market
It isn't just Sixaxis, unfortunately. Even Dualshock3 is fucked, so it wouldn't surprise me if they flashed the Dualshock3 controllers as well.
i use my dualshock 3 for pc gaming. don't remember how i got it to work but i remember it being a pain in the ass

So far as I'm aware, XBox controllers should be supported by your computer just fine. XBox 360 controllers and onwards should be supported by most systems (and since you said you have an MSI laptop, it should certainly be supported). At worst, a controller I'd recommend using if you want more of a Playstation-styled controller for your PC is the Logitech F310 gamepad. It's relatively cheap in price, and I've had mine for the last few years without any problems (save for one, but I later found out that was due to the game I was playing not supporting controllers properly, so that was more an issue with the game than the controller).
As far as I can tell, post frequency and the amount of overall posts seems to be a key factor for levels on the site, as well as just generally lurking.
