The only reason I could see them going away is due to lawsuits/accountability issues for the leagues involved. Former players are already starting to sue the leagues they participated in, and thus these leagues have really started to go in a direction of severely discouraging contact with the head. NHL reaches settlement in concussion lawsuit There was a similar lawsuit against the NFL I believe, and I don't see this sort of thing going away as we understand more and more about head injury. Improvements in injury prevention would go a long way though, I agree.
the NFL really needs to funnel more money into better headgear R&D. I know they already do but they really need to make it a priority
Sometime I feel like the only person in the world who is happy with a fucking simple brewed coffee. I am actually terrified of going to coffee shops out of the fear of humiliation by my fellow millennials for not wanting some bizarre flavour with a million toppings or spices or whatever. For fuck’s sake, even coffee pod machines that make cappuccinos or lattes with frothed milk is a bit too much for me. A coffee made from coffee grounds by a percolator or a drip filter machine, maybe with a teaspoon of sugar and a splash of milk, the latter if I really feel like it; that’s all you need.
I only drink my coffee black. I go to Starbucks, Duncky Ds, local coffee shops, etc. Literally no one gives a shit. No one.
I feels like because they expect you to put all that shit in there though, that they sometimes brew the coffee really weak at the franchise shops. Err on the side of dark roast when you can if you like stronger coffee, is all I'm saying.
Aquaman is the second-best live action superhero movie of 2018 behind Infinity War.
Absolutely, darker the better
but martial arts are fun
Radiohead sucks ass Oasis too
If FP should really bite the dust, I could honestly get used to reddit, (Though I really strongly wish for FP to stay) I wouldn't really have any other choice because I really haven't found a general forum or similar place to FP where I don't strongly disagree with the style of moderation. The community identity by sheer scale alone of reddit is pretty fractured and not at all cohesive and the upvote system gets worse the more crowded and/or controversial a post gets. Other then that, reddit can be pretty great with the many niche topics and genuinely friendly and helpful posts and endless amounts of content where you can pick and choose exactly what you want to see, customizing it to your liking. And you don't run the risk of having like half of your favourite  ̶s̶u̶b̶f̶o̶r̶u̶m̶s̶ subreddits just wiped out because someone might lack the skills off effectively taking criticism and managing a community.
It is astonishing how fast threads move in ResetEra. Is that what garry initially wanted?
Muse sucks too. And Coldplay
I like Coldplay sometimes
I enjoy eating great food But I don't enjoy eating
Sabaton is bland nerd-bait European power metal that sacrifices the genuine intensity and emotional weight of good power metal (of which there is very little, most of which died off with the momentum of the American movement in the ''80s) in favor of accessibility, and while I'll congratulate them all day on finding a formula that's successful to appealing to internet weirdos with boring tastes and disposable income, I despise them for creating an image of modern metal as viking-helmeted history-dork cheese that I then have to shove away from my conversations when I try to discuss artists that don't suck donkey dick fucking ass The same goes for every stupid fucking nerd-bait metal band of modernity (Alestorm comes to mind)
Not tolerating the intolerant doesn't mean you can't try to educate or reason with the intolerant.
sex isn't all that
Depends with whom, when and how.
Has power metal ever not been cheesier than the entire state of Wisconsin?
This one I can't completely tell if it's unpopular but what the hell. Mario games should try to use Bowser less as an antagonist. Notice that when a new antagonist is brought in, the story becomes WAY more interesting. Especially in the case of Fawful, who was the best of them all.
"nerd-bait" "alestorm". alestorm's image is like that of the ultimate dudebros but even then you're still wrong on the first bit too :*
The fact that you're complaining about nerd-bait while at the same time throwing the most stereotypical nerd gate-keeping shit around is fucking hilarious.
I think it's deliberate. Like, they use Bowser as the villain when they're doing a platformer because those games don't really need a story beyond "Dragon kidnapped the princess, go defeat it and save her." Meanwhile RPGs can have a much deeper story so we often see Bowser taking on a supporting role instead, if not becoming a protagonist himself, because they have the room to introduce additional characters and plot threads.
like i said
I have absolutely no qualms admitting I am a traditionalist sack of bullet-belt-and-denim-vest-wearing shit who will tell you 24 out of 24 hours in a day that power metal peaked with Too Late to Pray, neo-thrash only had one good album, and that Demilich was still the best thing to happen to technical or progressive death metal since the birth of Chuck Schuldiner. I'm so good at keeping this gate that I do it in my god damn sleep.
Going back on the toxic post a couple pages back. People who whine about chat being bad when you can easily mute, block or just minimize the chat are just a little bit to sensitive.
Perfect, everyone can ignore your ass at shows way easier this way. We just have to look at the guy with the pole stuck up so far up his ass, he's practically performing levitation illusions.
After "Bowser's Inside Story", the games just make Bowser the boring bad guy again, and everything just becomes extremely predictable. If they're gonna make him the main bad guy, they should at least try to add something more interesting going on instead of "he kidn4ps da princess loolll XD".
Yeah, I'm pretty sure most of the RPGs have sucked ass lately, and I'd like to see less lazy stories written for them. I'm just saying that for like... New Super Mario Bros kinds of games, I feel they don't really need a super-complex story. Like, a different villain would be cool but I think it would clash if they tried to give some kind of profound reason for jumping on turtles.
At least Odyssey confronted the whole thing at the end by having Peach reject both of them, plus they made it so Bowser actually wanted to marry her and wasn't just trying to grab power, which he was but he wanted to be with Peach too. That said much of Mario's problems come from Shigeru Miyamoto himself, he has dictated that no new characters or monsters can be created for the Mario series without his approval, which is why the RPGs have been butchered.
