SSB isn't really the main point here, the way fighting games have developed is what I take issue with, SSB is just a symptom of that. I would like to see more experimentation
But isn't there a bunch of games that are also Platform Fighters? There is Shrek, Tom and Jerry, Grim Adventures.
Yeah that's mostly it, I understand why SSB is considered what it is, I just think it's a little silly that there is no concept of "fighting game" that isn't the Tekken/Street Fighter style of fighting game. Which I find super stiff and boring. That style being popular would be one thing, but the genre revolves almost entirely around it. The differences in gameplay between a Mortal Kombat title and a King of Fighters game seem, to me, like minute quirks at most. Competitive fans and players could probably give me a 300-point rundown of why they are wildly different games, but what can I say? At its core, the formula never seems to take any risks
I've never had a problem with self-checkout terminals.
I would love to tickle a rat
I don't know if the rat would like that.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0luHphuTPGA They LOVE IT.
What I don't understand about the video is that at the beginning they say they are trying to find out what happens when we are tickled. Why can't they just conduct expirements on people for that? It's not like it's dangerous to tickle willing subjects.
Domestic rats are super friendly. I'd love to own some.
Animal testing is way cheaper. Human testing requires all kinds of lengthy and expensive authorization and ethical code review and paperwork and legal issues, even for the simple stuff.
Because they wanted to Ticle rats
There is really no reason to own a personal assistant device if you don't have any disability.
I feel like the whole "men need to ditch toxic masculinity and express their emotions" thing is kind of a meme, just because the people I always see espousing it are also the first people to pull out "needle-dick incel virgin manbaby" the second a man expresses an emotion or opinion that they don't agree with. For instance, I like to share stuff relating to men's rights; not "stupid roastie whore reeeee" men's rights stuff, real men's rights stuff. Suicide awareness, prostate/testicular cancer, discriminatory court rulings, Movember, etc. And I always feel apprehensive when I share that kind of stuff. Not because I'm afraid my bros will put me down and call me a pussy or a faggot or whatever, but because I'm afraid the self-described progressives on my friends list will automatically assume I'm a neckbeard MRA straight out of /r9k/ or r/braincels (and thus take these real issues even less seriously than they already do). As a man, I have never been shamed (beyond harmless joking around) for expressing my emotions by my male friends and/or family. I have, however, been in classroom and professional environments where women have said really fucking ugly things about men in general (that absolutely would not be tolerated if the genders were flipped), and been expected to agree/laugh along. It feels like a good amount of the time, whenever someone says "men need to lose this toxic mindset and express their emotions", what they really mean is "men need to stop doing things I dislike and start agreeing with me", which is bullshit. Men aren't invincible, they should be free to express themselves, and they do have their own set of issues that deserve to be addressed.
I don't recall a specific situation where someone said that and then proceeded to treat men like trash, but I'm pretty sure that's just because I either haven't been paying attention or forgot about it. Regardless, I do know that there are plenty of misandrists in the world that basically feel like they can get away with being sexist. What's worse is the kind of people who will treat someone from a more privileged demographic like shit, and then act like they're absolved of being a bigot just because the victim in question just so happens to be born a white guy. Like, sure, white guys on average may have it easier than everyone else in America, but that's never going to justify the sort of idiotic mindsets that are equivalent to "x race = bad!!!!!".
I have to believe most of it is just well-intentioned ignorance. Because the fact of the matter is, no matter how empathetic someone is, we all really have exactly zero idea of what it's like to be someone else. A bunch of my female co-workers casually mentioned how "you guys will never know what it's like to be afraid that you're going to be mugged or assaulted when walking alone at night" (not trying to be aggressive or vindictive or anything) and were totally shocked that "fear of getting assaulted/mugged" is something that occupy's men's thoughts as well. Like, I live in a college town full of drug dealers and greek life, you best believe I'm watching my back while walking by my self in the middle of the night down a road with no streetlights. Granted, I worry a lot more about getting cold-cocked and robbed moreso than I worry about getting raped, but the point is that they had basically been conditioned to believe that "feeling on-edge while walking alone at night" is an exclusively female problem. The same way we used to have societal misconceptions like "women are incapable of succeeding in business/military/physical pursuits because femininity is weak", we now have societal misconceptions like "men are incapable of feeling insecure/threatened/vulnerable because ~privilege~". A lot of the people in that camp very likely mean well and just need to engage with a more diverse pool of people, but you're definitely going to get the assholes who think something as abstract as social privilege is a quantifiable constant that 100% applies to every member of a group; they'll inherently dislike and distrust white men, they'll dumb down their speech when addressing PoC (because if you're brown, you aren't as smart or articulate as whites can't be expected to meet the biased standards of privileged non-PoC), and they'll think of themselves as the solitary exception to any of their self-ascribed rules. I once had a professor heavily imply that the only reason we (a class full of grad students working as adjunct professors) got our jobs was because we were white. She was too, of course, but that doesn't count because she actually worked for it
The whole "sins of the father" thing that the most extreme activists use as an excuse for racist behaviour isn't even something they apply consistently. If we are to bear the guilt of slavery because our ancestors owned slaves, then so should modern Africans. After all, their ancestors sold them in the first place. I understand the point of keeping in mind the fact that it happened and understand how it shaped today's world, but there's a difference between that and having to atone for it IMO.
Don't know the popularity of this opinion, but I believe rally is superior in most aspects of motorsports.

Got you there, F.O.
Just bought arcade archives vs super mario brothers on the switch. I fucking hate it. The controls are so bad. I cannot even beat 1-2 when I used to get pretty far when I had super mario brothers deluxe on my game boy color waaaay back in the day. Mario floats everywhere, there is LITERALLY 0 control in the air. He slides like he's on ice constantly and takes a million years to get up to speed. I wish I could refund it. It pisses me off that I wasted $8 on this.
I kind of hate Smash. Like, all of them. The controls feel like they're on a two second delay for every game I've ever played, most of the time the controls don't even work and I'm stuck crossing my fingers and hoping that MAYBE this time it will actually do the attack I want it to. I've tried gamecube controllers, etc. etc. and they're slightly better but still not good enough to rely on. The few times I ever win against anyone else feel more like they were due to luck than me actually becoming good at the game, and whenever I get beaten it's 60% because they were better than me, and 40% because the controls suck monkey shit and sending out the wrong attack got me killed. And every time that I lose, I can't even figure out what exactly I did wrong so it's impossible to learn anything from losing. It's just match after match of losing and losing and losing and losing, and I never feel like I have any control over anything that happens. By this point even when I win I can't deride any happiness from it because I've lost so many times; it never feels like I won because I did something right, it just feels like I won because the npc or the other player was unlucky.
I dunno why 4K is the standard for TVs now. At this point, i feel like 1080p should still be an option for modern 50+ inch televisions since we're probably gonna be stuck at 1080p for a long time, especially with nVidia's RTX API apparently being a performance killer even with relevant features disabled.

Twingos beeing ugly and shit isn't even a unpopular opinion outside of the internet. Owning one is a surefire way to show everyone that you're either unemployed or unpack boxes in a warehouse
Maybe in Germany, but over here they're pretty popular, especially more recent models. They're basically as common as the 2CV back in the day.
The whole "you should forgive everyone even if they don't feel sorry" thing is complete and total bullshit. Forgiving narcissists only feeds into their ego and makes them think what they did was okay. Why the fuck forgive them? Would you forgive your rapist?
People expecting you to forgive also places all the power in the hands of the one who wronged you, effectively coercing you into it. It's even worse if the other person appears genuinely contrite about it, then you can come across as an asshole for refusing to forgive them.
Twingo: at least it's not a multipla
I'm not even sure if this thing is just a fairy-tale as I've never seen one with my own eyes
Oh no, it seems the world at large still remembers the Fiat Multipla. If it's of any confort, we are still very, very sorry about it
