A small request - a reordering of the subforums we currently have?
It's the smallest thing, but I keep clicking on Polidicks instead of SH. Perhaps something like this?

Are we going to get anything like thread tags? To at least sort out all the shit that got piled into GD? Otherwise we're stuck with whatever the OP decides to title it.

Autosorting subforums/whatever based on popularity on the front page? With maybe General being "stickied" to the top?

We're at the point to where nothing anyone says or do will matter. It'll all just be labeled as "crybabies" regardless so what's the point.
If the only options are to eat shit and pretend that everything Garry does is great or the forum dies out of spite then it's better off to just end it.
... but what will help is telling the dwindling userbase to fuck off instead of voicing complaints and permabanning dedicated users who are put off by it. People aren't just mad for no reason. That intensity and passion comes from a love for this place and a fear that it's going to be taken away and destroyed for no reason.
Yes there is some idiots that call Garry twat, its pretty unnecessary, but there is a lot of people who are just saying "just put the videos subforum back and ill shut up."
Why not put it back to make like 20% shut up?

Are you guys intentionally misreading Hezzy's post? He's saying the people posting "Fuck you Garry, shut down the forums!" should fuck off.
Saying "Garry is throwing a tantrum like a child" is both fucking useless and also massively ironic. It doesn't help anything and just increases the chance of Garry shutting the forum down.
Because he said no already, and continuing to complain about it isn't going to help anything. I was for bringing videos back, but Garry shot down the idea and that's all there is to it. The decision is over and done with, peoples complaints and suggestions were looked at, and the decision was made. That's not to say it can't change in the future, but to continue beating a dead horse while chastising Garry for his decision isn't going to make anything better.
The lack of communication on Garry’s end makes it hard to tell what exactly he’s looking for on his decision. Obviously the overly negative posts are a vocal minority, he should know that. People are still here and posting around the forum, and there’s been both positive and negative feedback in these threads.
The problem is of Garry’s few posts, responding to harsh criticism makes it seem like we’re not getting anywhere. Also that fucked up tweet he featured on his “forum downtime” blog entry where someone wished his kid died of leukemia, seems pretty irredeemable if that’s the kind of people he thinks he’s dealing with on here.

This is a good point I hadn't seen made in this thread. Seems a lot of it is people with issues regarding garry/Hezzy specifically posting. (Which is literally the opposite of what is needed right now.)
The majority of people on the forums don't give a fuck and are just happily posting in other threads.
Forums tend to norture a sense of community between each member and are useful for archiving informatiom much better than something like reddit or discord which are more suited for fast conversations and events,if the forums go down even at the facepunch discord,the community would be too spread out and eventualy fade away.
I believe Garry does a mistake comparing what a forum is not good at in comparison to more popular media than what a forum can do best.
I understand he said no to bringing it back, but at least let us have some sort of tagging/filtering system so GD isn't just that place filled with shit, half of which some people aren't interested in.
I agree that some people have been too upfront and aggressive with the changes made, but removing the subforums as a filtering system, leaving no alternative, and then continuing to wonder why people are bitching is just plain stupid. Garry must realise this by now.

Honestly I've been chill for all the changed stuff. The move to the new site was painless and it looks good. Focusing on megathreads instead of subforums is also something I prefer honestly. I just can't wrap my head around being so adamant to trash videos .

IMHO, it almost seems counter-intuitive the way the forums are setup now. I understand that they are supposed to be streamlined, quick & simple, but it almost seems setup like it is out to slowly bleed the community dead, and then could not the excuse be put forth that "oh well nobody uses the forums anymore, so we *are* gonna shut them down"?
It still bewilders me why the Video section is gone. I spent all of my time there.
But enough beating of a dead horse. I feel like we're just being reprimanded at the moment for supporting a community that we care about.

They all actively post in our discord. Birdo posted on Turdman a few times IN AA (That you now can't see due to the subforum getting nuked, I guess?) pretty much outright saying he's BirdMan.

Look at Turdmans posts. Look at Grenadiac's. For what reason would Grenadiac make dumb, pointless posts RIGHT after he gets done making a sensible post in reply to Hezzy? That doesn't make sense, and I feel like anyone who sees Grenadiac post would know that. Turdman was created more or less simultaneously with Birdman getting banned and his activity on that account stopping. It's pretty easy to see they're not the same person.

Anyways, UncleJimmema did the ban. He's in the Firearms Discord, which was uh, created by TheBirdMan and modded by Grenadiac, so they're both in it. So I @'d him to hopefully get stuff sorted maybe, thinking it was a big oopsie, but he's saying that the metadata shows that Turdman is an alt of Grenadiac. We asked to see the proof and were told "lol no why would I do that ;)", so fair enough on that front I guess.
Dunno. Maybe I've had the ultimate trick pulled on me by the NOTORIOUS SHITPOSTER @Grenadiac , but something seems kinda fucky.
