i think we'd do just fine as a community with or without growth, really
ive always seen fp as a bit of a closed community anyhow, especially with the registration lock we had for a while.
A fair point, but when we're actively loosing many users, then that happiness and trust is pretty low. Oldpunch before transition - perfect as it was, could maybe have used a little renovation, but the community was vibrant. Even after the transition, Newpunch was different, but people were trying. It wasn't as active, but people gave it a chance. Now here we stand, after countless other shitshows. Each one was a pretty heavy blow. I know of a couple smaller communities on this forum which have already migrated elsewhere. After all, if Garry is holding the axe above our necks, why even stick around to just wait and see if he finally swings it down? The only thing that will fix this forum is a vast attitude adjustment buy the moderator team and garry. If that means handing control of the forum over to someone else, then absolutely do that. Its clear that they don't have the interest of the forum at heart.
When the time comes I'll see you all in Valhalla, brothers and sister.
It'd be cool to have heard from Garry why taking a minute to make a videos subforum was too much for him to be bothered with. Didn't even need to fiddle with restoring all the threads back into it, just something for the new threads.
I mean it could be a very good reason after all, and it'd help mend the gap between the users and staff if Garry could weigh in.
SHUT
