Has anyone here had to travel somewhere far for their job and got a government rate hotel room with per diem? Got any tips? I'm having to go to a college town to do some city mail carrying.

get a place with free breakfast, i pocketed half of my food per diem just by eating bfast at the hotel, eating burger king or something on base for lunch and going somewhere decent for dinner
I totally skipped on the college lunchtime so I could watch RTGame play Wii Music and fuck up September and it was worth it
have had a wicked headache all day, not helped by a family gathering in relation to it being father's day in norway
on my day off too of all things
Got my table legs all done, they might need another coat of paint but that takes a minute and a half to do
The slab top should spend sometime inside warming up before I fill the cracks with epoxy and put a finish on it
