To be fair, Dragon Ball as a whole is a Shonen series. Specifically, one that targets the younger side of that demographic, so acting like the franchise is something meant for a more mature audience is laughable.
You know what’s also considered a Shonen series (albeit one that targets the older side of that demographic)?
