I hate that living in this apartment I can't let out an honest to god full blown fart without my neighbors knowing it. My bowel doesn't like holding it back for too long, and it happens mostly when everyone's taking a shower at night, or when it's 6 am in the morning routine and other people wake up at that time too. I only feel safe letting out gaseous anomalies at work.
Anyway, I was cooking spaghetti pasta, and when I went to empty the pot I scalded my left hand with the hot boiling water, some pasta fell on the dirty floor, some of the water knocked out toothpicks onto the dirty pasta covered floor, almost scalded my feet, and I was standing in the middle trying to remain calm with the burning pain. Fortunately, half of the pasta were saved in the pot, the other half that fell on the floor had to be thrown away, and I feel damn lucky for my spaghetti meat ending up just right.
I ain't the best cook and I can't stop the burning pain on my left hand, but at least a good food can relieve my depression for a while.
My apartment isn't soundproof either. And then there's those idiots that keep blasting electronic music with extra bas way past midnight, and you already suffer from insomnia. Even though I hate not having a job, I am so lucky that I can regain sleep during the day taht I lost because of those morons.
I'm kinda of sick of modern streaming culture and how it's becoming acceptable to have a bunch of useless bullshit cluttering the screen. Shit like giant facecams, donation / follower messages, bit jars and fucking bit bosses. I don't give a shit who recently followed. I know some people get a dopamine rush when their name is on screen for 3 seconds, but seriously it's just visual noise. It's the reason I avoid a lot of big streamers because most of them are guilty of it.
It's like that scene in idiocracy.

Apathy towards other people sentiments, I see.
How typical. And boring.
It's why I stopped watching a bunch of streamers I used to like. They started doing this shit and it adds nothing, but detracts everything. When i watch a stream, I want to see a game, with sume fun commentary, not your dumb ass face covering up a chunk of the screen and a ticker with how much money someone is forking you.
gggmanlives released a review of RE2, he starts it by saying the game is "Finally out" and that he's been playing for a week.
It's like, you coming from the fucking future mate? The game's not out yet, could you hold off on the spoilers until day 1?
I am so sick of chrome locking up for 10+ seconds EVERY time I dare to switch a tab on youtube without pausing the video first. Then the screen goes black for a second. It never did this before.
What is even the point of posting to reddit if you’re going to nuke your posts with a script? How about you start thinking about what you post online instead of deleting useful advice.
It's pretty common for publishers to send copies of a game to well-known YouTubers and Twitch streamers. It's an easy way to ensure a game gets more wide spread attention upon release. Also the review embargo has since lifted so he's clear to post a review.
You must have been livid when someone spoiled the twist about Darth Vader.
there are a ton of reasons you could not have played a 20 year old game/movie yet, including but not limited to a. you recently heard of it b. you recently had actual access to it, which can be difficult especially for these older games/movies c. you never had time to play/watch it until recently.
Accidentally drank water with fairy dishwasher liquid in it.
Then I almost lost my bank card due to my shitty wallet
And now I have to endure dizziness, fairy taste in my mouth, and constant bathroom visits from poisoning
That sucks, for example, mgs, we can't even begin to talk about msg2. just because SOMEONE out there didn't play the first one.
Imagine being in a discord call with 5 other dudes and ask each of them If they care about spoilers of a 20 year old game, EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT.
Does your GPU use jump to 100% when that happens? I'm having similar issues.
When people pull douchy "script flipping" when they lose arguments. "You know less than me about something? Cuz ur dumb!!1!" - "You know more than me about something? Becuz u hav no life!!" And these people happen to be in the 'perfect middle'. What are the odds?!
This. I don't see why more modern media shouldn't be treated equally as books. Crime and Punishment is 153 years old, but spoiling it for someone would still be considered very rude. The same should apply to all media, contemporary or not (with some exceptions, Jesus dies in the bible, and all that).
Schools in America seem to be about survival rather than learning because everything is about being "popular" or good-looking, where people judge the shit out of you if you don't have either of those things going for you. I hear schools in different countries don't have those dumb problems? Is that true?
My parents sent me to a private school in Scotland initially and it was basically just an American high school in uniform with all the stupid cliques and bullying.
I was so unhappy that I eventually managed to get transferred to a state school in the same town, lived with the family of a friend I had made in school because the private school was a boarding school and had a much better time because there wasn't any of that shit and everyone was in the same basket.
In the discord servers I'm in, my friends drop-in drop-out all the time, we know each other, but as you just said, we don't know every experience we've had, so you could be talking about mgs, and someone else joins, so now I have to stop everything, asks them if they have played mgs2, and if they do care about spoilers, if they do care about the spoilers, but somehow haven't even played mgs1.
it leaves you with a few options: shut up about it and hopefully find something else to talk about, ask the dude that just joined to mute/leave, or go someone where else to talk about it.
makes tiny interactions super awkward now since everything is a minefield.
it's way, WAY simpler to just accept that you can't be too upset if you get spoiled for old stuff you have interest, but for any reason have not yet experienced.
I was talking about the tendency of YouTube uploaders to fill YouTube with videos of recent releases with full spoiler titles and full spoiler thumbnails for ... reasons, I guess
In my experience, and from what others have told me, the UK doesn't really have the JOCKS AND PREPS VS THE NERDS drama that seems prevalent in America. However, the kids that were good at PE tended to be more popular and, if there was a bullying problem, they were typically the culprits. Even in school, Brits are less outwardly judgemental and instead favour furrowed eyebrows and dirty looks to express their disdain for the non-conformists. Apparently now school kids have the stance of "smart is cool", though I question how much of that is truth.
People who incorrectly 'correct' your spelling.
The Mayor of my home City back in Poland was assassinated recently, and the current ruling political party is exploiting this tragedy for their political benefit (in their literal NK-tier propaganda machine)
Decided to check out a restaurant I'd never been to before. It was completely empty but looked clean so I got a sandwich which wasn't half bad.
But it got really uncomfortable because they were playing the news on the only TV. I tried to ignore it and just chat on my phone, but then this older guy came out from back and started shouting at the TV. Like, really loud and really angry at the news. I actually got a little worried because he started slamming things down and he kicked something (a box?) that was behind the bar.
After a while the woman who seated me came out and pulled him into the back, but then I was sitting there for like 20 minutes after I finished my food waiting for the check while they yelled at each other in the kitchen.
At least I know why it's fucking empty. Jesus.
Only in this house does a massive fucking argument happen over a phone. Fuck me I'm moving out any moment I can.
Soundbar started cracking/popping really bad a few days ago.
Well rip me.
*trying to do something*
"No, that's not how you do it!"
*they take the thing from you*
This is how you do it!
*they do the the rest of the task without letting you getting the chance to correct yourself*
On a similar note, when my friends barely ever let me drive a car or fly a helicopter in ArmA 3, I barely get any practice doing so, then when I ask if I can give it a go they say "no u can't you don't know how to xd"
How about letting me practice you fucks? :|
Been sent for an MRI scan at a hospital that is literally at the other side of the country from me.
What is this garbage.
many inconveniently assigned together assignments in one week and i end up going to lay down but sleep for ~11-12 hours and waking up at 4 AM effectively wasting thursday
