This whole bleeding kidney thing has sapped every ounce of energy out of me. Having my blood drawn 3 times doesnt help and this jobsite with fuck you amounts of walking is just unbearable at this point.
Can't remember if I said this before on this forum or another. But people who try to preach that "looks don't matter!" when the person giving that advice never had to worry about that problem. I've never heard an ugly person talk like that. Much like I've never heard a poor person say "money isn't everything =)". It's easy to be all humble and "knowledgeable" on something that never bothered you and may never will. Or when you're just in a cheery mood and think you're being helpful.
Some people say "It's all about confidence, bro!" which is true, but still doesn't help you in 100% of situations. Another issue is when some people say how they "don't go for looks" when they subconsciously do, or just say that in front of people to make themselves look less shallow than they really are. We've all seen people get swarmed with attention just for their looks while our not-so-good-looking selves went invisible - where "confidence" had nothing to do with either us or Mr. or Mrs. Perfectface. Some of those people never even have to open their mouths. On top of that, they are showered with compliments that aren't even remotely true.
I say "looks don't matter!" and I resemble a budget Harry Potter, and have been asked in the past if I'm male or female. I say it because I know that relationships can't survive solely on physical attraction and, even if these relationships appear superficially perfect, there will probably be problems below the surface. Physical appearance can only help so much in life - except for the most obvious fields, people aren't receiving promotions because of how they look. Anyone that believes their life would be easier if they were "more attractive" is a tad deluded, because I'm confident there would be other problems in their life to compensate for not being "ugly".
If you really believe you're some eldritch horror of a human being, which I highly doubt, there are things you can do to improve your appearance without requiring plastic surgery - posture, fashion sense, hairstyle, to name a few, and they go a long way. Moreover, if someone is only interested in the physical appearance of their...suitors, that's a big enough red flag and you wouldn't want to be around people like that anyway.
Meanwhile, money doesn't = happiness but it can be a catalyst for acquiring the things that bring you happiness, so "money isn't everything" isn't untrue; nonetheless, money is indeed substantial in a modern pursuit for happiness for many people.

Also I really don’t understand why Apple makes different grades of USB-lightning cable. Eg if you buy an iPhone, the cable that you are supplied with has a slower recharge speed than a cable you would get with an iPad. Why bother? Why not just have the one cable? Surely the faster cable only costs a few cents more to manufacture? Recharging an iPad is an absolute nightmare when using the cable You get with an iPhone.

NONE of them even offer the slightest bit of relief whatsoever.
The only thing that works at all is saline nasal spray but I don't like using that because once it wears off the congestion comes back even stronger.

I have multiple sclerosis. While it was only somewhat diagnosed as being MS (beforehand just being diagnosed as 'nervous system degeneration' which is pretty much the same thing as MS really tbh) I've had issues with lesions forming in my brain/spine/nerves for about a decade.
Originally I had a form of MS called relapsing/remitting that meant that I would recover from MS episodes, though not fully, but this has now turned into primary MS. I'd had episodes affecting my left optic nerve before losing about 5% vision each time until I only had about 50% remaining until this most recent episode which has caused massive damage to the myelin in the nerve that cannot be recovered. Steroid treatment can help to somewhat slow the progression of MS but once a nerve has been damaged to the extent as my left optic nerve has been there is really nothing that can be done.
I used to be an EMT officer a few years ago and had planned to make my career in it, but when I was diagnosed I knew that I would not be able to carry out the physical work associated with working for the ambulance service so I had to seek a new career path. It's something that I have had years to come to terms with, in addition to having other conditions affecting my movement such as (thankfully very mild) cerebral palsy, I just did not expect to lose sight in an eye this quickly which has been a bit of a bummer.

My mother is very narcissistic and self-involved so any principles she sets can be flung out of the window if she finds herself in a similar situation. Something is bad until she does it, in which case she'll find a way to explain why she's exempt from her own scrutiny.
Sitting in the drive-thru and my sister and I hear this woman up ahead being racist with the employees. "Can you get someone who speaks ENGLISH?" She said to the employee speaking perfectly understandable English, but with an accent. She kept rolling her windows up when people wouldn't meet her demands. My sister checked in the employees after the fact and ensured them they were doing a good job. To top it all off, this cunt had one of those Jesus fish stickers. 🤔
Forced stealth sequences in action games aren't the worst things to happen in gaming. Those who say that they are clearly haven't heard of forced action sequences in stealth games. (Metal Gear Solid does it fairly well, but that's more of the exception to the rule rather than the norm)
I've been informed by folks who still work there that they've let 15 others go, and are also having people take two mandatory unpaid time-off days.
This tells me either:
The company is sinking and desperate for money, which does not incentivize me to re-apply in the future at all, or
Some ass-wipe in charge is trying to score a fat labor-cost bonus, which again, see the latter point of 1.
