Super Best Friends Thread V7: See you Space Cowboy - General

There's a couple of different types of streamers i've found and Pat and Paige fall into the category of clip streamers, where their highlights are better and more fun to watch than the actual streams.

I usually put pat and paige on as background noise. They just arent that interesting to watch by themselves. The whole "Paige doesn't understand thing in game, Pat is howling with laughter because of it, this goes on for 10 minutes" is getting real old real fast.

90% of what Paige adds is her saying something insane and Pat reacting to someone being more insane than himself. It's hilarious, yes, but it's even more repetitive than Fartgass McSimpsons or whatever Matt got shit for being.

Woolie and Pat sandbagging Matt's Simpsons shit was depressing to me. Mostly because I am very much like Matt in that Simpsons quotes are an ever present part of my mind.

I love The Simpsons more than your average joe, but it felt like Matt was running it into the ground the way he did with fartgas. When references are used appropriately, you get moments like 29:20: https://youtu.be/AnVKfqr9KUI?t=1764 Used inappropriately, it all just gets old really fast.

I do think he needed to tone it down a bit, but they made it so he wasn't allowed to do it at all.

I was just putting on a pat stream to have as background noise while I play skyrim and it took him ~40 minutes to actually start New Vegas, then came here and saw that this exact same topic was just discussed. Like I get taking awhile to get started and its not worth a lot of editing because its a 5+ hour video, but the least he could do is cut the beginning down for the youtube upload.

at this point i just dont watch live streams at all, and wait for vods so i can skip intros and breaks

I just feel like Pat would do well with the funhaus treatment if he could get a competent editor. Just trim every stream into a 15-20 minute video of just the really good shit with maybe some complementary edits

Matt just died so they're moving on without them, that's totally why they changed the name

I was telling my friend a while ago that when you get down to it, it really only feels like Matt left and because of that, you can't really have the core TBF brand anymore They're at MAGfest right now and I'm only seeing pictures of Pat and Woolie, so that solidifies that thought for me even more. I don't know if Matt is busy with other affairs to be there as well

Like, even with all the affiliated friends on twitter seem to speak only to Pat and Woolie now anyways except for the few who were basically Matt only. The whole situation is fucked

I just feel bad for Woolie, I'm certain he had nothing to do with the group falling apart yet got caught in the middle of it, still trying to be friends with all of them when they want nothing to do with each other

I think the only person I've seen interact with all of them consistently since the happening is Truongasm (mom!), mainly because who can say no to hanging out with Woolie, and editing videos for Matt gets you paid. Pat is likely stuck to Woolie like some kind of sub-par stand at this point just to ensure he leaves the house at least once a week. Matts recent content has been pretty decent, but I do hope he still talks to Woolie at the very least. Otherwise it's just going to make me think Woolie was a third wheel for him the entire time and that genuinely sucks to think about.

I also hope he's still friends with Woolie, and not just because I animated a 7 min video with both of them in it that I have yet to finish. Gonna reeeally suck if they aren't.
