Kevin. You may think we want you back. But we actually fucking don’t.
Yikes.
Unpopular opinion, but I think there should be a certain weight and gravitas the word "rape" holds over something like "sexual assault".
There's a universe of difference between unwanted contact and unwanted intercourse/penetration.
This isn't to defend Spacey, but rather to not cheapen the real meaning of the word "rape".
we can't do that, think of the alien boys
This made me so uncomfortable. Like genuinely freaked out. In character or not this such a fantastically bad decision.
The stock effect stinger at the end left me laughing pretty hard tho
I mean, I certainly believe in the tennant of seperating the art from the artist, but this guy is a literal rapist.
Like, what's done is done, I will continue to enjoy the things he has produced in the past, as he is an undeniably good actor.
However I hope he never finds another job in the industry.
That's where my line of disassocation ends.
The main issue with separating art from artist is that in the case of actors they art is the artist. They are inseparable. You can look at a painting by a terrible person but the person isn't actually present in any way. But with an actor on screen they are there and their presence is what comprises the role. The actor makes the role more than the writer or the director.
Honestly it's less of that and more of the fact that he shouldn't even be around other people, and his crimes are too heinous to disregard in that fashion.
If you grab my dick and I didn't give you consent to grab my dick, it's rape.
If you fuck me and I didn't give you consent to fuck me, it's still rape, just a worse degree of it.
No actually, that's sexual assault/molestation.
Rape is intercourse and penetration.

I don't know how things work in the United States, but here in Italy the penal code punishes every act of sexual violence indiscriminately: basically, as long as what you are being subjected to without your consent has an objective sexual nature (as to say, it betrays a sexual appetite from whoever performs it and/or it involves an erougenous area of your body), the perpetrator goes to jail.
So here in Italy both grabbing a girl's, ah-ehm, assets suddendly without her consent and downright raping someone both counts as sexual violence and an offense, different amount of punishment notwithstanding
