"I couldn't post because people are so easily TRIGGERED!!!!! Now let me go back to complaining about women in my fucking video games!"
If you've played the game you would know that Anna and Artyom don't have a daughter, in one of the endings it was a son, and the book Exodus is based off, she mentions how she'd like to have a normal family, so I'm pretty sure the female talking is Anna. Everything you've said says you don't even have the most barebones basic grasp about even the surface details of metro, you just crawled out of your circlejerk echo chamber after hearing a female in a game trailer, and decided that today you'll cause peoples braincells to deteriorate by opening your mouth.
You're the one getting triggered over a trailer and people are calling you out.
??? Solo Play ??? Bourbon? Ulman? His squad? Khan? Major Pavel? The female sniper that helps you on a mission to kill the last Dark One ? The last Dark One follows you around and shares his memories. Also why do you have to type like this?? Are you so easily triggered yourself that the foam bubbling from your mouth is Preventing sufficient oxygen from reaching your brain???
Kid of amazing what happens when everyone on board gives a fuck.
Literally no metro media is about "solo" stuff. Most of them involve Artyon either being accompanies or tagging along with others. There are sections where he's alone but the human conflict is literally one of the series focuses. I mean I knew when I saw the trailer someone was going to whinge about there being a woman in it but I didn't expect it in a mere 3 posts
Stop insulting one of my favorite franchises with your weird backwater sexism, please. The game isn't out so there's literally no reason to call this game's story diluted just because it has a female character. There was a female sidekick in Last Light who was a tough, takes-no-shit soldier and it was just fine. Your insecurities are embarrassing.
Yeah no, BFV pissed everyone off as not only they played off the efforts of real life commandos down to shitty familial exploits between a mother and her daughter, but also how they ditched their prior artistic tones for the sake of including women with no actual merit in their inclusion beyond feelgood points and arbitrary customization choice. You're literally getting assblasted for them using an established female character as the narrator of this particular trailer and making a lot of Jones-tier assertions while ignoring what the previous games have already done which is progressing the story using characters whom Artyom follows around. Hell, the first hour or so of 2033 has you following a dude around. Following NPCs to drive the story is quite literally one of the staples of the series aside from its atmosphere and the only thing I can take from this bad post is that you've never played the games and are just plain assblasted whenever a videogame character with two X chromosomes get more than 2 seconds of plot time. Also lol degradation of a series because of a female character, got a good chuckle out of that one.
A collectors edition featuring a watch with actual Nixie tubes! Of course there are only 10 collector's editions produced..
I don't know how to only reply to a
i'm pretty sure the only thing i ever remember him mentioning that was pre-blast was the botanical garden

Retards in this thread aside I'm so unbelievably scared to play this game because I fucking LOVE the Metro series. Last Light was good but nothing can ever hold a candle up to 2033 and I hope they manage to be as good, if not better with Exodus.
Having multiple, wide open ended levels on how you could approach the objective at hand like that fucking swamp level and a day-night cycle combined with all the other neat shit they can do being outside the metro now, Im pretty sure it'll be kickass, my man
Open world games like far-cry or fallout 4 don't really interest me at all. I dunno, maybe its the huge amounts of power-creep the player has. Downplays any kind of oppressive nature the games try to set. But for whatever reason, STALKER just grabs me and pulls me right on in; I can't get enough of it, I can't quite put my finger on why. This looks like its shaping up to be a really nice alternative. Actually kinda hyped for this to do well
It isnt really open world, just multiple, absolutely huge levels where you can pick and choose the way you approach objectives and offer huge amounts of exploration, akin to the swamp level from LL, except scaled way up, last I read
