• [Video] 7 Minutes of Anthem Gameplay (Alpha Footage)

My issue with this game is that it just seems like a generic sci-fi game and a borderline clone of games like Destiny or the Division (gameplay-wise). Not to mention my waning faith in BioWare after both Mass Effect 3 and Andromeda (especially the latter). I can't help but think this game will be a gilded grind with a generic plot and hollow characters. At the moment, I'm just hoping they don't fuck up the next Dragon Age. I can't really get hyped for another franchise of theirs.
All of the footage coming out from IGN and other content creators right now was recorded during an influencer event a couple of months ago and is just now being released, in theory it's a pretty good marketing campaign because suddenly the web is flooded with cool new footage of the game from all your favorite youtubers, but then we also get this problem where people assume everything was recorded this week
This game has ripped so many themes directly from destiny its unreal. Also the audio is messed up they should do something about all that echo and add some background noise.
I’m not buying this game in protest of how soul sucking of a company EA is.
Even in November I don't believe the game was in Alpha, it's still too close to release for that stage.
But the problem is that the higher the fidelity of a facial model is; then so the quality of the facial animation must stand equal or above. Otherwise the character plunges headfirst into the uncanny valley.

Writers are already
Apparently since the days of Dragon Age: Inquisition BioWare has become unable to write any main villain who isn't just some sort of Corypheus
You knkw what, its not the mouths that annoy me, they seem fine. It's the fucking eyebrows.
Bioware's been doing that long before Dragon Age. In Mass Effect 1, Saren wanted to use an ancient power in a misguided attempt to end all unnecessary suffering. I'm more interested in this "Anthem of Creation" because as it stands, it seems like a straight up rip-off of The Traveller from Destiny. Given Anthem has long been regarded as a Destiny rip-off, that doesn't do much to give hope.
Andromeda all over again. We're only human after all.
I get this but I'm not sure why it feels like they're trying to hide it. I was in the "closed alpha" and honestly, it was pretty fun. I could sum it up as "Destiny but with flying robot suits". I have 12 minutes of me screwing around in the alpha limited "open world" and it was better then whatever the hell they were showing here. I was randomly invited to the alpha and went in with negative expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Will I buy it? Eh, we'll see. The game does look pretty great overall. There's some prerendered stuff in there but the game does look great. Ran really well on a 6700k and 980. Worse thing was how the motion blur couldn't be turned off in the alpha (and the mouse controls for flying were screwy).
"Very fast facial animation moving at increible hihg speed."
That's not even the worst of it's issues. I couldn't keep playing after the training mission because I KEPT FALLING THROUGH THE GROUND AND THEN MATCH MAKING WOULDNT WORK. Please I want to love this game but you're giving me so much to hate.
