My point exactly, shitty notation is just annoying to deal with. Either you are trying to communicate your ideas to someone else so you should make it clear and easily readable, or you are doing a computation yourself and you should already know the order you need to do things in. In both cases, pemdas shouldn’t be a concern

You're completely missing his point. The argument is that if there's ever a situation where order of operations may be ambiguous, you should use parenthesis. The downside of that is extra characters, which is why we have a standard order of operations (PEMDAS) to remove the ambiguity. The only place where people go out of their way to create ambiguity is in those Facebook meme posts.

The only reason why this is even a problem in the first place is because mathematics uses infix notation for some fucking reason. Prefix and postfix notation don't have the same problems with order of operations.
