FP was very different around the time I set it, you could get away with a lot more stuff (especially if it was masked well, not many people realised it was a link to be honest).
Now though I wouldn't do it, I changed the page it linked to a few years back due to the shift in attitude to avoid getting slammed for it, to the disappointment of a few people who wanted me to change it back.

Eh, I tend to agree with LZTY on this.
Back on oldpunch zingers not only encouraged a few to just build the identity of a smartass as their gimmick but sometimes encouraged low effort callouts or bait posts.
Not all of them were ad hominem, but even then it felt like it didn't get a thread discussion going much. A few times it even derailed a thread.
Considering now that SH (and even PD to a degree) is more refined than oldpunch of yore, it may be a step back especially if we take on new blood.
Rewarding posters for thoughtful posts and conteibutions and calling out bulllshit may warrant bringing back smartness but who knows.
We've had some good responses, I'm going to close it in a few more days and post the results.
