• [VIDEO] Youtube is Harboring Pedophiles, and it's Being Monetized[MattsWhatItIs]

It's sickening how far these guys will go to get their rocks off from anything. Something as innocent as a mom watching her kid doing gymnastics in yard is suddenly fuel for them. It'd be impossible to track and fix it all, despite the miracle work. All we can do now is just spread word about the mess and pray Youtube actually does something do put more locks on these channels. God that music after the talking is so uncomfortable too, but what a way to emphasize the threat this loophole can do.
.ec_iframely_root .ec_iframely .iframely-embed {overflow: hidden;} Add that to your stylish/stylus/whatever alternative you like rules for facepunch. Don't remember who shared it originally but this fixed all page shaking for me.
Is there any way to edit this to work in the custom CSS option in preferences?
Not that I know of. But I'm not that much of a css wizard tbh
Why would it be changed? The man is disgusting, but his work on the series isn't affected by that? IDK if there's just something I'm missing here
Also yooooo news sites are starting to pick up on this and using Matt's video as a source. https://www.forbes.com/sites/fruzsinaeordogh/2019/02/18/youtubes-related-video-algorithm-helpful-to-predators/#1c860d6a4872 https://techcrunch.com/2019/02/18/youtube-under-fire-for-recommending-videos-of-kids-with-inappropriate-comments/ https://www.theverge.com/2019/2/19/18229938/youtube-child-exploitation-recommendation-algorithm-predators
Better yet, go to your preferences and enable full width mode. Works too.
Couldn't YouTube just ban or remove comments like that? They fall under inappropriate behavior so I'd imagine content creators or mods could just delete or filter them out.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLsYQYHHqoM Honestly I don't like Keemstar but he did bring up some stuff that I didn't know before.
excuse me i watched the video and what does anything about this has to do with what matt is showing in the video? youtube is not doing anything, there are videos dated back to 2014
"Not reporting it because it affects the entire youtube community" might be the weakest, most pathetic excuse I've ever seen. Even for Keemstar.
Keemstar is a fucking idiot, can we not post his videos.
Ultimately parents need to know what they're kids are doing on Youtube. Most kids livestream on it now and predators try to groom them in the chat, "redacting" their comments as soon as they're read so they don't show up for anyone else. The kids think they're just having innocent fun, but in reality predators are trying to get them to do sexual dares and other suggestive things. They also try to get them to start a new livestream with a nonsense title so the video can't be found and reported. It's creepy as fuck.
Also I knew some advertisers were starting to pull out but I wasn't able to find proof until now https://www.reddit.com/r/YoutubeCompendium/comments/asdihe/2019_february_list_of_advertisers_who_have_pulled/
Adpocalypse 2: Reveangance is boutta go down bois
I hate that this is the only way to get Youtube to do anything about it, and that Youtube is really the only place for user created video. They run it so fucking stupidly. Its going to hurt actual creators the most. I really hope that someone competes with youtube soon, but news like this, probably scares away any company to do it since having to deal with shit like this.
I sure look forward to 90% of videos from Youtubers over the next few weeks containing numerous quips about the impending Adpocalypse. For real though, it sucks, and I sympathise.
Wait it gets worse https://twitter.com/TeamYouTube/status/1098756348626403328
I hope...HOPE, this is avoidable by the owner of the video removing the comments. Because that would make sense.
The Keem Video is over doing it but A lot of Youtubers hate him. Youtube did give him a response but he is still trying to find and contact advertisers. It's like he doesn't want it fixed, he wants to bring down the platform.
So what you're telling me is, you can now weaponize the bot accounts? Instead of posting "YES IT WORK THX" on your video of a program that's obviously a scam, lets say for example, an item generator for TF2, you can now point them towards someone you don't like? Instead of advertising an obvious scam, you could just start posting... Whatever it is that's considered inappropriate? What the fuck is considered inappropriate? The pedo shit? Commenting asking for the source of someone's cropped porn avatar because you're oh-so-funny and too lazy to work google images? The average political shitfest that happens if you praise someone on one side of the spectrum but not the other? The aforementioned scam links that- Oh, shit. We could get a twofer on that one.
Matt has posted a message on reddit about this. I feel bad for him a bit. Imagine if people gave keemstar as much shit as matt got over this. https://www.reddit.com/r/YoutubeWakeUp/comments/atdfoa/defending_mattswhatitis/eh0kl4x/
They're subhuman scum.
The fuck is the point of this? Demonetizing the videos literally doesn't affect the exploitative commenters in the slightest. This is exactly the thing I was afraid would happen when Matt started out complaining about the monetization of those videos instead of just the comments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGaBzGJeCgA
