Wow. She sounds like an amazing person. Maybe it's silly but I feel the littlest bit stronger just for sharing a name with her.
Luh-Kee-shuh specifically spell it with the hyphens
Thanks for the info. Now if I could make a request... I know that you're wanting an "unusual" name but as someone with a very uncommon name I will say that it hasn't really done me any favors. Instead, I just get lots of folks mispronouncing or otherwise mishearing my name. All I'd ask is that you put yourself in the shoes of a little Australian girl and consider whether or not you would identify with/appreciate having any of the given names. That being said, here's a few that maybe aren't absurdly common: Aira/Eira Amber Anna Annalise Ash Ava Calla/Kalla Chloe Connie Elise Ember Hazel Johanna Klara Laurel Nora Ollie Raine Sherry Talia Terra Vera
I'm not going to suggest any names because I'm terrible at naming things, so trying to name a person wouldn't go well. I just want to say you should make sure you pick a name that is appropriate for an adult. Poppy might sound cute on a kid but it can be a little embarrassing on an adult, obviously this depends on where you're from though. As a general guide though I'd avoid place names, months, seasons (don't name your kid Summer), and popular names, the last just because you don't want the kid to be one of 5 of the same name in one class. Flowers are generally a safe bet, gemstones are dicey I'd avoid them, and if you're picking a name from a foreign culture look up what it means first. At best it'll mean something cool, at worst it'll mean "Toilet Licker" or something, just be careful.
Io or Victoria
I'm partial to Athena tbh
Brick
hitlerita
Christine or Angeline or something
so we've picked a name. i saw a girl wearing a minnie mouse shirt and thought minnie was a nice name but wanted her to have a proper name. we are going with minerva elizabeth bolter, minnie as a nickname. its the roman equivalent of athena, its uncommon and my mum likes it cos she says theres a harry potter character with that name. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/2239/4232426c-2d6c-4ae6-8d05-5b979fee2f62/received_402848027199203.jpeg
Vulva
Always liked the name Gwen
Athena, Erica, Lindsey, Luna, Freya.
I'm going to go ahead and suggest what is in my opinion one of the most beautiful names for girls: Johanna Bonus points! It comes with the perfect in-built, all-purpose nickname that is appropriate for both childhood and adult use: Jo
Crystal Methany
