I'm starting to get pissed at my job. I've been going through the same cycle over and over. I get assigned to a task, call it Task X. Task X is scheduled to begin on Date Y. X has several prerequisites that were meant to be fulfilled by Date Y. The people in charge of X's prerequisites are massively behind. Because X's prerequisites are behind, I can't start X. Since I'm unable to work on Task X, I'm then asked to assist with Task X's prerequisites. Inevitably, the people working on Task X's prerequisites have been standing around picking their butts for the last several months and have basically no idea what they're supposed to be doing. I swoop in, do simple things like reading the manual and contacting the vendor for whatever we're stuck on, and complete the work they were supposed to do in a fraction of the time while they look on. I get heralded as some kind of savior for a few days because I got things mostly back on track by doing literally anything to support the effort. At this point I've lost two weeks of manhours that were meant for Task X, often cutting the amount of time I have to work on it in half or worse. I then have to go balls-out trying to complete Task X because "Ohhhh man we have Task Q over here just waiting to get started on Date Z! We can't fall behind man just do your best!" I finally complete Task X on or around Date Z and they want me to immediately transition to working Task Q.... but Task Q's prerequisites are massively behind schedule and they're going to need my support to make it on time! I've started pushing back on all of this but it's not like there's a lot to be done in the short-term. Even still, my lead has made it pretty clear that asking me to support was a formality. Now he just volunteers me to do other peoples' work without even talking to me first. It's making me really bitter.

the people you work with need a stern talking to from management or lose their jobs. youve probably already raised the issue but id press it if i was you and get it resolved sooner than later.

When it goes from cold ass rain in the morning to swamp ass heat in the afternoon, fuck this inconsistent weather. Also ACs in new cars suck shit max AC when it's just above 70 and somewhat humid takes for fucking ever to get acceptable. I should not have drive highway speeds for nearly an hour to get cold air.

The protest apparently were so bad that government ordered celular data isp to temporarily cut off access to social media. Its to prevent hoax from spreading. Facebook,whatsapp,Line,etc Problem is,it can be bypassed by a goddamn vpn. This is fucking irritating since you can only access them if you are using wifi or vpn Seriously,communicating become pain in ass

I like how if I have inexplicable issues with some software that not a lot of people are having issues with apparently (could've fooled me- almost all my friends complain about having the same fucking problems with this specific thing) I must obviously be the stupid one. I can understand thinking that way if these were issues that were easily fixed by some braindead simple thing, but dammit, when I've tried everything possible and every suggestion under the sun and it's STILL half fucking broken, the Hell do you want out of me??

Forgot to mention this before. This is more of a slight annoyance than a "purely mad" thing, but when movies (and some games) have end credit music that doesn't match the movie in even the tiniest way possible. Shit feels like a "off the top of someone's head" thing.

Boy I sure do love youtube not showing me all the videos of the channels I'm subscribed to. "Hit the bell if you want to see everything" they say, but that doesn't do shit, youtube still fails to show me half the videos that come out most days.

I have a literal ballache and no health insurance (it's own saga) and a walk-in urgent care clinic is gonna cost minimum $160 upfront for a cursory exam, an extra $230 for what I assume will be a more or less mandatory ultrasound, probably an extra $40 for lab results, and that's before any actual treatment or follow-up. If I talk to a specialist after that it's another $300 upfront. They don't accept partial payments. At Zoomcare you just have to pay the total before you leave the building. I could literally max out my credit line for a ballache. I've filed an application for my state's health plan twice today, got email confirmation, uploaded tax returns, then logged in an hour later to check on it and found that my applications were just gone. There was no trace in either case that I had ever even filed. They originally canceled my coverage last year because (and I know how exaggerated this sounds but I'm dead serious) when I gave them my address I accidentally clicked on the webpage's background when it did the "Suggested Address" box thing popped up - the one that just suggests the extra five digits of your zip code and matches your address to something in a GPS database and just, like, lowercases what you've already typed in. It was therefore "not verified." It was literally just my address. The USA is a fucking joke, and not a funny one.

Even better when the recommended and home page is flooded with month old videos of that one game that I liked but nobody is playing anymore that have bunch of internet videos reporting its decline despite me unsubbed all relevant channels because they don't produce that content anymore!

So,im working on my mini research for final test. Originally,it has 2K words limit that i need to get into. In middle of working,my teacher mailed us,and the limit are increased to 4K words. Im pretty fucking pissed of right now,because im about to hit 2K limit,thinking i can relax after that. No fucking shit,eat these 4K words limit

Why does the 5GHz wifi band suck so much? It is constantly throwing errors in speed tests, netflix just instantly fails even though the signal is full bars. Meanwhile 2.4GHz runs just fine but doesn't quite hit my ISP's limit most of the time.

I had this same issue in Black Ops 4, I've had constant disconnection errors on 5ghz but when I switched to 2.4ghz it stopped doing that

It's more prone to interference. 5GHz is faster without any interference, but it's so ridiculously prone to it.

5GHz has a much shorter range and is more easily blocked by walls etc, but I would have thought 2.4GHz is more prone to actual signal interference.

a friend bought me dragon age origins and it was fantastic. now i care about da4.

My old neighbours were persistent smokers and after several discussions they suddenly moved away. The actual residents blasts music all night every weekend, that kind of people that can group with his friends to chat at your door at 2:00AM while you are sleeping in the other side of the wall and always replies to everything you say with "but we are doing nothing." This is really testing my patience.

Literally just call the police about it, if the police come when they are blasting music at night they get warned. If they do it again, call police again, and eventually they might get forcibly evicted for not respecting other tenants.

The police rarely gives a feeling of autority and I hope this doesn't make it worse for me. With some nights without sleep I had this on mind but the result can be a coin toss. I will try my luck anyway.

Jesus christ,i really hope my mom stop using "thats college" or "thats teacher,they can do anything and you have to obey it" whenever i have trouble at academic stuff. Like,you just walked in asked if something was on my mind,i told you my prob then you replied like this. I think its better for you to shut up if your response are only these 2 and can't help me in any way. You only add more stress for me because this will surely ends with argument.

I've been using a big, glass bottle to make iced teas in. Two sugar cubes in, boiling water, tea bag, then take the bag out, let it cool and put it in the fridge. Easy. Only apparantly the bottle wasn't actually designed for hot drinks so today, after five months of using it, the bottom cleanly detached from the rest of the bottle when I went to pick it up with about a liter of hot tea in it. I get the same sort of issues, but it doesn't even work right with my phone. Damn router just regularly kicks everything off of 5GHz no matter how many devices are connected. I've checked with an app, too, there's no other router in range (of my phone at least) that uses 5GHz at all. Not sure what could be interfering at this point, I just gave up and used Ethernet on my desktop and resorted to simply using 2.4GHz on all my wireless stuff. Fuckin' Hell I hate networking shit. Have never had a router that actually worked 100% properly. They've all been garbage one major way or another.

Iunno, if the neighbours start acting up even more after they get visited by the police, I think that's even more fuel towards getting them evicted. Landlord don't want troublemakers as tenants from what I know, either; Letting them know about your neighbors being loud during night (and confronting you about it, if you called the police) will potentially lead into the landlord talking with the neighbors, and they might fear eviction more than police.

What the fuck happens to meee I know that my dickhead teacher raised the words cap from 2k to 4k for final test. Yet,my body loathe to works on it even tho thats an important assignment there Its a fucking final test damnit Just fucking whyyy

There might be some cultural differences between Finns and Argentinians when it comes to tolerable noise It's possible that landlords there give less of a shit about that sort of thing.
