I was really opposed to a dark theme on FP because the combination of black and red triggers a murderous rage in me. However you handled it really nicely, I like how it looks.
meanwhile I'm over here with awfully white
This explains why you hate me so much
nah your shade of red is good.
it's this that triggers me:

i think awfully dark uses it
checking in, i use the white theme with small modifications to make it look like vb4 facepunch
Not alone brother, but to be honest I prefer the white theme.
kind of hilarious that i remain logged in on my laptop by the grace of god, but can't log in on my desktop because of the facebook authenticator being put back into development mode. i'm guessing this is a deliberate move to drive the forum downwards?
the battle royale has begun
https://auth.facepunch.com
now
I think you can add a new authenticator method through your laptop.
You should get on that while you still can
We should not only have a DUI thread, but a whole carbon copy of the forums in a DUI setting.
When you're drunk enough, everything becomes a drunk version of itself.
I'm half a bottle in and still going. Hurrah.
Facepunch is like the Counter-Strike: Source of web forums
I'll be honest, I miss when the forums were more active.
Hey what was the fix for uploaded videos not having controls on firefox?
Problem 1: Garry is not invested in the development or upkeep of this website, and that is holding us back.
Problem 2: The community fund sits unused.
Proposal: Make an offer to Garry to buy the website outright. It's great for him because he no longer needs to worry about the site, and it's great for us because we no longer have to worry about getting deleted, and actually makes use of our past donations. Then, we can give development rights to the appropriate people, and actual changes can be made.
Thoughts? I am not sure how much the site would be worth, given our traffic, but we may be close enough.
GDPR would still cause problems. You can't just sell user data, even if it's a transfer of ownership of the means by which that information was collected.
There might be a way to do it legally, but i don't know of any such way.
I believe it was this:
video {
white-space: normal;
}
Thanks!
Hello how can I log on to my old account? I haven't used this new facepunch yet
If you remember your old account info, you can try merging it here: Facepunch Auth
So has anyone tried posing as a wealthy investor willing to fund Garry's projects, gaining his trust, and then offhandedly mentioning the fourms in an attempt to get him to finally say something about the fourms?
Thanks! I can't remember any of my passwords though
Maybe google does? https://passwords.google.com
Not deliberate, it requires a developer to fix. We don't have any developers.
If I don't see you join Knockout! consider yourself banned in the after life.
steam authorization and i'll do it
i'm definitely adding more auth methods, but i'm still not sure if steam will be one of them. while i understand the reasons behind using it (i even use it or FP myself), there is a lot of uncertainty around the steam oauth/openid tooling. if they do deprecate it, your knockout account will be gone - forever - due to the way i want to handle user data (as in i want to save as little as possible for privacy and safety reasons). and the complaints will be directed at me. bad experience for everyone involved.
the ones i'm planning on supporting in the short term are google, twitter and github. it's easy enough to create a new account in any of them, if you don't have one (and i assume most people do have an account in at least one of those)
I would really appreciate a steam login. I try to keep my shit somewhat compartmentalised, my google account is for google and youtube only, my github account isn't connected to anything. The one thing which is 'central' to my online activity is my Microsoft account and I'm not really thrilled about needing to use it to sign up to websites.
That and I'm not a fan of either google or twitter, so that would leave me connecting with github, which I would really rather not do.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
